times higher than it was just a month ago. a staggering increase. what are you seeing on the ground there? what are officials doing in response? >> we're seeing hospitalizations increase just this morning in the hospital behind me. we start with 18 covid-19 patients. so three in the last two hours. we have doubled the number of hospitalizations in l.a. county. that is what has officials here worried. that's yale what made that mask mandate necessary in their minds. and again as antonio is laying out, it is now also the folks that are vaccinated that are contracting this delta variant. 20%st new cases here in l.a. county are among people who are fully vaccinated. the vast majority of the folks doing fine. 4% ending up in hospital. but it is happening. take a listen to what doctor told me a short time ago. >> by and large, those are very sick or those who are either unvaccinated or undervaccinated. that means they only had one
