$16.8 million to trump owned businesses and at the bulk of the spending at his properties. and just the basic cost for a room at trump's d.c. hotel is nearly triple its average rate on november 7th which just happens to be the night in the middle of a two-day senate republican retreat there. it's not the government paying for all this. it is also the case the president directs public money into his properties with the trips he takes to them with full secret service protection. and not to mention the air force stop overs at his scotland property. but it is still pretty darn corrupt to have a party that raises money from donors and deals in a piece of the action to the president of the united states's own bank account as a part of the whole arrangement. the people getting soaked here are the donors themselves and they don't seem to object. just because they don't mind pay offs to a sitting president doesn't mean it's all acceptable or appropriate. that's kind of the story of the
