As we are head nothing the Easter Holiday weekend people in the philippines are probably going to need to deal with very wet weather, and some possibly strong winds. Now, typhoon maysak is no longer nearly as possible as earlier this week when it had the clearly defined eye and the violent typhoon status. It is now down to a typhoon status. Wind speeds at 144 gusting to 1988. The pressure is now up to 960 so it is still weakening. As you go in to part of the weekend, we will see the system continue to weaken. By the time it arrives over luzon we are expecting the system to become a severe tropical storm. But that means its going to be wet, that means its going to be windy, and so definitely still need to make proper preparations, and proper plans according to what this weather scenario looks like as we go into the weekend. As we go into the beginning of next week once we get past Easter Sunday i think were going to see the weather backing off just a bit and seeing a little bit of an improvement. But definitely need to look out for Easter Sunday. Now toward the north we have a low pressure system bringing stormy conditions into hokkaido and this long extended cold front thats bringing some clouds and some rain for japan. And also into the Yangtze River basin. Be prepared for some wet weather as we go into saturday as well. High of 17 in tokyo, 23 in shanghai, and well see that rain chance also extending back toward places like hong kong where well see hazy conditions and maybe some showers up toward the north. Now i want to point out coming up for this weekend, if you do plan to go on a Cherry Blossom viewing for the tokyo area do it quickly because the peak period is now passing. That front goes further and further toward the north. And so you to make sure that you make those plans quickly and accordingly. Now, i want to stop by the middle east real quick. Because we had a very strong sandstorm with some very impressive video coming out of dubai. Lets take a look at that video to give you an idea. Can you see anything . Its hard because of how strong the sandstorm was in dubai thursday affecting local land and air travel. Now, sandstorms theyre common in dubai. But, theyre rarely going to be this thick and in this big of a scale. So classes had to be suspended for students in the city and along in parts of nearby saudi arabia also had to suspend some classes. Many flights were also impacted leaving passengers stranded at the airport. Now these systems what happens is you have a storm that has a big downburst pushing down and blowing that sand out. And thats when we see those types of scenario. So its not a long period type of situation but every once in awhile you just have enough of that burst and that will cause that to happen. I think were going to see the cold front passing through. May still see the possibility of some more of those sandstorms if we see those air bursts taking place at times. Looking at the forecast for europe we have a low pressure system that will bring some rain for the eastern side of the continent. This was responsible for creating some very nasty weather earlier in the central portions of the continent. That will push to the east bringing snow into moscow and kiev and another system bringing rain into london and paris. In north america we have this cold front and low pressure system responsible for causing really nasty weather with several reports of tornadoes. For friday morning looking at enhanced risk for severe storms and that will move toward the south and east closer to the deep south as we go later on into the afternoon. Rain and thunderstorm chances will exist as we go throughout friday for the mid south. Hope you have a good day wherever you are. Heres your extended outlook. Okay well thats it for us here on newsline. Dont go away theres more to come here on nhk world. Mc habaab militant Group Carries out its worst attack ever on canyon kenyan soil.
