We are still looking at some of it off here towards the north in to western portions of hokkaido and western portions of tohoku. That sea effect snow continuing to kick up and some areas you can see as much as 50 centimeters. What were really seeing, though, is that high down here towards the south. Another low coming in from the west. This isnt going to be a big snowmaker, especially out here towards honshu. Parts of okushyu you could see flurries. What were looking at on monday and over towards tuesday as well is the risk of avalanche. If youre a skier, be careful out there. Even if youre living in some of those mountainous areas, anywhere you see in the white, these are areas that are currently under these avalanche advisories. And definitely very high at risk. Now i did mention theres this storm system coming through. A weak one. Thats not going to bring very much of the white stuff to tokyo. Actually staying down here towards the south. You may have heard theres another event, though, that could take place by midweek. Now, right now, that low pressure system is back here towards the west, bringing some widespread snowfall across much of china. The Yangtze River basin you could see some areas 5 to 10 centimeters, also some freezing rain mixed into that. Tuesday and wednesday that ones going to track east here along a jet stream, bring some rainfall across the Southern Japanese islands, and it could bring some more flurries here in to tokyo by wednesday night in to thursday.
