Classic but I think Tyrell Terry alone has completely changed the potential of this program because when you think about it I mean he's going to be a leader on the court hopefully for the next 4 years for the cardinal and you know I think we're still going to get to need to see more from some of these cardinal young guys I think Spencer Jones also as really out played expectations he was a number 230 in the country a 3 star out of Kansas but he's obviously given the cardinal a huge lead not only with his 3 point shooting leaves the cardinals Brees this season but also with his defensive rebounding intensity. And that says it all right a night he wants to spin moves back to the other side and his back going to be a cold one night yes it is. While that is killer I can't imagine it was on the show because it looked like he got all ball. And comes in a little bit but the upside of what's there in terms of being able to do that stuff on the defensive end is something that not everyone has Stanford wiring a school of cards now that could play on both sides of the game. Be so galling right now 5 of 6 from me on the arc and he turned to a 6 man to tell me about it after that one and Stanford now got their biggest lead in the game so much confidence from the freshman point guard in day John Davis picks up the tab so I just want the fans going to the right going to be careful here Davis. How about Tyrone Terry 7 of 9 in this ball game 5 of 6 from beyond the arc has also contributed 8 rebounds and to assist He leads all players in rebounding even though he's the smallest player on the floor I can't say enough about this guy in that last step back and I hardener Donovan Mitchell s makes a great crossover nearly put his defender on the floor before swishing it through calmly very very well done delay are able to hit one of the 2 free throws and again everything go into the line for the corner and you know if we slip there for a moment it looks like they're going to just stop this to mop up the floor rever it was pursued petition on the ground and well you don't want a 7 footer tumbling over so. Family not traditional 7 footer I mean we've seen them operating from beyond the arc most of this game like I said 3 of his 4 field goals are from 3 point range and 4 of a 7 to 10 from me on the arc as well and he has only grabbed 2 rebounds in this game so Rice will meet Terry out rebounding the 7 footer who has a one foot height advantage on him and 4 to one ratio. Of the tribe going back to when it came through night in full that is just thanks just move just put you away from me before he was able to set the pivot foot in Spanish tonight kicks it up it's the whole Levin's turnover. Romy and Mary in the 4th one from Mike you actually hasn't been particularly efficient himself and Knight not happy about that call but I think the frustration is more with his own play so far in this game. He's not a little here and there in the excitement and Spencer Jones ending on to his toes he's come alive here a little bit more in the 2nd half and is that the 1st 2 point field goal of his career in advance what he was signaling and knew it was something he and Spencer Jones almost joking to Jared Hass I guess on the sideline is he does finally get a 2 pointer to go how about that with the layout and Stanford just keep pouring it a good sign in terms of not just you know doing what you need to against these teams that perhaps should be as talented but also beating expectations which ended in the immortal words of Drake you go good teams when great teams cover but you know you can palm advanced stats back that up for Stanford they moved up from 92 at the start of the season to 79 at this point because not only have they been beating these teams they've been beating him by wider than expected margins and those things valuable when it comes to some of the metrics and things like r.p.i. Later on when you get toward seed in front over there from Terry's hands and so it'll be set up here by Herman our skills and just looks a little bit uncomfortable on the ball it feels like where he does not want to dribble it Blair over the lowly in full each year working against as soon as. Game it was needed in the rotation was found not acceptable to hand in leads to 2 points because Blair a good free throw shooter here as I said like driving he misses the lay up it was a wide open lay if you took it with his right hand on the left side it was Ok and then just spins out you won't like that one you know Isaac white Pete on the defensive in France a little bit expected but. Rough swing with those 2 right there is white just having reentered the game it's an 18 point yeah Louis just went right by him on the last one and I have to think Jared has this is kind of you know validating the fact a double double Tyrrel Terry and no White's wins it back to Terry on the outside. Shots in other spots as well and so. Sure it might not be crucial that Isaac White does anything you know specific in this game but if you're going to need him later on it's good to get those guys some minutes I think it has got a little bit chilly ambitious in terms of throwing in the subs. In spirit and eastern shore so maybe he doesn't want to go super fast with that right now but I imagine they'll be worked in for this game so. Definitely you know the one game this season where Stanford is not covered I believe Maryland Eastern Shore one of the worst teams in college basketball frankly and Stanford had a 30 point halftime lead but just kind of let that slowly bleed away in the 2nd half never was in doubt but nevertheless Stanford not able to keep their foot on the gas because of the substitutions and put the subs in in a diplomat No I said what the frame he's now going to load you just hit it 3 on the other side I said White will get a chance to go to the free throw line whites only taken one free throw this year he did make it try to improve on Stanford average. 16 to 22 from the charity stripe on the night in actually that is exactly equal to their 72.7 percentage this season coming in the wild they're nothing if not consistent. Not something we could say last season like this 1st but you're shooter and should be good candidates come back these next 2. You don't get the 2nd. 7 words but they showed it was about I want to be being. Done is it looks like Tyrell Terry may be done for the game here and so Davis and White the 2 guards leading the operation for the finally minutes. I'd like to see Terry come in a little bit longer because he's working on he did get his double double 21 points and 10 rebounds but certainly work on a game that could have been like a 30 point or had Stanford really needed him for the rest of it because he's shooting 8 of 11 and 5 of 7 beyond the are so kind of getting whatever he wants out a few more difficult games definitely with Candace The only other marquee opponent left but the good news is if Stamberg continues to take care of business against lesser opponents they're going to come out of the non-convex with a really good record and although the tournaments certainly does factor in strength of schedule it helps to just have those winds piling up if you can say you have 2122 which is probably somewhere around that would be the magic number for the cardinals getting a bid to determine the automatic or something you can also do but. I like to see that for any given you all right here we had one fairly early in the contest not another until the 720 more in the 2nd half will stay with the tribe baseline in-bounds player for bronzes they still have a couple of their starters in you know that they're not going to quit fighting this is a big opportunity for the tribe. But I just you know I haven't been really impressed with their oftens they have not been able to get anything going and I think the fact that Nathan Knight is still sitting and seeing nice stature not of say updated but I think he's sitting at 7 points you know it's tough when your star player who has been getting a double double every time out and averaging over 20 points per game it's tough when he's still sitting in single digits with 7 minutes remaining. Bit of a nightmare of a night for it it makes it nice and night rather in the fear said not the cardinals so go to the Lair try to find extra points in this contest just Isaac Lloyd writing in he can't find anything so pick it back out to a vis 8 on the shot clock here Cardinal in no hurry taken away by night to sell the business or burn to come up at the bottom so night will beat it up the floor and then Mary is trying to find a little bit more in terms of what they can in the final minutes and we'll get to sleep. There it is almost every reckless but every fish is if I can stay forever it will do well to control his body a little bit better in some of these one so defensive it checking me off and rebound there flies in very well so it does drive it so forth fell in night probably doesn't really matter at this point it also from Keefe and only what he could hit that shot because he had a very nice spin to get himself up the floor and almost jump to land if your feet in front of the 3 point line with his momentum carry him yeah I think he could have stopped and collected himself shot attempt and I also think you know he's checking out probably just because that was his that was his run that was a rotation but also if you guys are quite there you got a 25 point lead with 538 remaining I know you want the highlight reel 3 but you probably shouldn't shoot it with 25 seconds left on the shot clock I think it's much better to bleed clock and make sure William Mary has no chance to get back in this game and actually put it in the reason he exited is well shot missed by a night after the 3 when it could go as well and so now on the other side their star Oteri he doesn't try to if it goes to delay or that one started like catching the forms of delay or is Hamilton Right that's the exact same opportunity Tyrell Terry could have tried to 3 of his own Instead he drives fine still in the dish to try another Found get a free ride for to me just play that we did our winning basketball in 5 minutes remaining maybe just keep piling up those files when he's going to add nobody else to throw out there. And I think that just the core presence of Tyrell Terry so impressed that he he can make every play out there obviously he's incredibly high and so you would expect him to take every shot attempt he can get off but really I just I've seen him Impreza passes from me does have 3 turnovers in this game so the one to one assist a turnover ratio but those 3 assists that's not ideal but this is he has made it been file a real plays and I think you you know you're going to you're going to live with those mistakes when you're starting at your freshman point guard but you just gotta love the the tenacity you see from them and the complete game even from a 61 player I there's really nothing on the court the Tyrell Terry can do all right you don't get the assist credited for that when he makes a great pass and so it's going to get off and sit down here on the drive. It. Should be the 5th here at night so he's done for the game I guess that does sound relevance and I really just a rough day for him all right Terry doesn't get the assist in makes a great pass there's the foul and so even though you get a nice passage and free throws and effectively the same output as you get credit for the stand but it even if it isn't in the score sure you get a player who has a point guard in. The night. Time to review his night because he had you know you called it a nightmare I would say that maybe even a little too generous 7 points only 4 shot attempts 5 rebounds but how about this 6 turnovers and 5 fouls So a lot of frustration on the court for night tonight and I think I heard a scene. Rice will strike 3 here and it will go in feet still in for the Definitely. Has the athleticism and intensity to be a good defender we'll see what kind of authentic game he can bring to the table as well. To stay and also so many do seems like he's still developing as an athlete and you know with his confidence in his body we haven't seen a ton of him as he's getting the ball the off and side of the floor to hope that he continues to develop. Working is still Lehr gets those and I think it's good. For his pilot on 32 point lead and William and Mary team that you know I think will do pretty well in their conference to layer with the steel goes up to Isaac white and this time you slip. I. Want a play from Fitzmaurice to grab the office rebound break box out by the way and throw it right back down. You see that all right I mean did that upside for him is unless the sister I agree on if it's Morris on the ball we ball team and we got some good genetics Harrison weeping ability and he's able to make it work and another Stanford player James Keefe we talked about him a lot tonight freshman he has 2 sisters on them. So a connection between men's basketball women's volleyball is strong on the farm. And they are definitely the 1st family of Stanford athletics. Dad Adam Keefe Stanford basketball legend played in the n.b.a. Mom was a women's volleyball legend now they have 3 current Stanford athletes and potentially one more volleyball player in the future and the keys one of. But from pianists more as that is to be expected and I think the intensity is what I like to see from I need I been there I think if you get in and you just want to play ball more than anything else and sometimes the refs are going to let things go the same way you know in a 30 point game that if it was a one point game it wouldn't want to be blowing the whistle so yeah no complaints with that.
