Hang with far in the moon in the constellation in Aquarius Kunder Capricorn in the constellation of Aquarius in the part of Aquarius but the moon is in. Brings a sense of optimism and ambition. It's not a great place for the 7 Tao can bring some marital discord and it's said to give some time sexual difficulty. You have to look at it in the context of other aspects of the chart. You know and so on but I knew she was also related to music and that's one of the nicest things about it. You can beat a drum machine or Christmas flute and that's another aspect of Di nice to know Western astrology today Chad got a Moon in Aquarius and it's coming into Pisces at 3 o 8 pm sun's a Scorpio so we have this movement today and can become a little bit more empathetic a little bit more imaginative a little bit more on our inventions and once the late afternoon heads earlier today we have Mars squaring Pluto. That brings a lot of strength and tension and then sextiles Jupiter early this morning it's a good aspect. It's favorable. For wisdom and emotional contentment. 6 37 am this morning it's a little edgy fidgety in the mind. Means sextiles your Rana's set a level 43 pm this evening maybe some weight night inspiration because we can't put the cosmic forecasts for 90. One of them kills you for Chico kid you forgot or turning it over $2.00 0. Oh Scott Seaton you're here sittin in there early morning come up to visit me and what is it were listening to in the background this is the Aaron Copeland clarinet concerto So this is a piece that he wrote for famous clarinetist Benny Goodman Oh yeah so a most people Roman probably known so yeah he actually collaborated with Benny Goodman on this and he was a 1st person to play and he took a lot of the jazz riffs the Benny played and stuck them into this piece in the in the dungeon so it's really cool that way and it's cool. And Norse that symphony is going to be performing this year we're going to play this this weekend we have a clarinettist from the Chicago Symphony Coming up John Yea he's the assistant principal and he's going to be here for a few days and we're really looking forward to having his extraordinary clarinet ability on this very difficult piece to play oh yeah well it's written any good yeah as you can tell you. I certainly couldn't do it well that's great what else is on program while the concert is you know it falls on the weekend of the of the campfire anniversary so the concerts called rising above and it's sort of a reflection on all that has happened in the past year in both communities both Chico and reading so you know we have the car foreign campfire and this you know it's really you know what is music it's it's the language we all speak it's the it's the one place we can all get together and sort of being a sounding board for each other and yes really we start out you know looking back at at youth at the idea of youth with Mendelssohn and his string symphony something that he wrote when he was 12 years old we go into the Copeland which is you know. This jazzy element which you when you listen to jazz you have to exist now you have to exist in the present and just just experience what's happening and then we have a piece that is actually highlighting 3 players both a clarinet player and 2 of our own principles Carol Jacobson on cello and Michael Sragow as I'm on bass and it's sort of a mini triple concerto that. And the Beethoven you know if you came to our September Concert you heard the huge triple controlled Beethoven really fun piece that is sort of an idea off of that and then we got the concert with it's called the Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis by composer riff on Williams And it is probably the most beautiful piece of orchestral music that I can possibly think of. Oh it's something there's yeah it's really lush it takes this theme and it spans 2 compositional styles 400 years apart both of Thomas Tallis and bon Williams and. Really the 1st many times I heard it I had goosebumps every single time it's that beautiful and at the end the piece you have a solo violin that's just rising and rising rising you don't know exactly where it's going until finally this rising is reached and the whole string orchestra just joins in and there's this multi octave g. Major chord there and the concert in just it just leaves you sort of just unable to move for a moment I mean it's just it's amazing so I hope everyone can hear it that's great so go through the nuts and bolts here sure it's Saturday night Chico unlocks an auditorium at 730 with a 630 pre-concert talk and Sunday in reading at 3 pm in the Cascade theatre with a 2 pm pre-concert talk and the program once more so we have the Mendelssohn string simply Number 7 followed by the Aaron Copeland clarinet concerto featuring John Yea from the Chicago Symphony and then we have the Maria Grunfeld She's an Australian composer we're doing her Concertino for double bass and show. Hello and then we end with a riff on Williams' Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis Scott Seton music director and conductor of the nurse state symphony thank you so much greater here this morning thank you boys a pleasure always a pleasure I always love getting Ripper early for you. I do appreciate it RINGBACK. I want to. Go. That is $800.00 South here on Dark 30. Dan Carter sitting in the Smorgon on this here show and we heard the name of that song was telling Ryad we heard go lactic with going straight crazy featuring Francis Shaw off their album already ready already from 2019 in Noah Kennedy did a little instrumental on the lead up to cosmic Kev hers was the name of the song was a French word that I am not going to try to pronounce but it translates to the tightrope walker and we heard Sister sparrow in there your birds with the long way and Van Morrison did love his hard work off his album The Prophet speaks from 2018 and I do believe that Billie Holiday started off the set with what a little moonlight can do and that was off a compilation a collection.
