He and his wife were in a cab traveling south on the turnpike in Monroe Township when this crash happened. Steve patterson has reaction from princeton. He says he drove by the accident scene only learn hog was involved the a day later. People loved him. And he stayed here through all of the glory. A gunman. The resident bought a gas generator and ran the machine in the basement to power the home. Exhaust backed up into the homes from the basement and through all the homes. Reporter the fire chief says levels of co were as high as 1,000 parts per million. Sickening eight people, two critically. When they came out the guy could barely walk. Like they had to hold him up like this and bring him out put him in the ambulance and the lady she wasnt moving. We thought she was dead. Reporter several animals were sickened with at least two dogs including a German Shepherd needing treatment. Fumes from Carbon Monoxide are real. Causes serious harm and death in minutes. Reporter fire Officials Say the neighbors who live at this home had a working Carbon Monoxide detector and when the alarm went off they called 911 and their quick actions saved lives.
