Weve got some amazing weather today. I dont like it though. Its too cold. You think so. It was nice out. It wasnt as bad as yesterday. I was out last night and it was about 40 something. It was chilly this morning. Record lows this morning. Atlantic city a new record of 29 degrees at the airport. I had my winter coat back on. Were going to get rid of that stuff. Lets take you outside get some warm thoughts here if you dont like the cold, ocean city but still pretty chilly, that ocean water close to 50 degrees. This is pretty much where it should be this time of year with people hanging out on the boardwalk this hour enjoying the nice evening across the region. There could be some rain though a little bit later and you can see it on storm scan3. Again we kind of have two features to talk about right now on storm scan3. One just to our south and west. Thats a lamper low pressure system that will track across the northern midatlantic. Again it could brush south jersey and delaware with a little bit of rain and another feature up in maine thats causing the cold air. So well talk about that in just a little bit but first our weather watchers right now its not bad from the some of the backyards umer 50s to around 60 degrees but check out the temperatures this morning. I mentioned some record lows across the region but from our weather watch nears collingswood we had a low of 33 degrees at hals house. James in ocean city a chilly 36 even at the coach this morning in philadelphia dropped down to 35 at phils house, 31 in newark, delaware at walters house and look at that tthe cold spot also in newark, delores lee checked in with 27 degrees this morning. Okay, lets talk about this storm system that will impact our region over the next 12 to 24 hours. Again, we are still talking about some rain chances moving into our region through the overnight hours. Itif we go to our computer on storm scan3 there it is theres that larger batch of rain coming across the midatlantic. Central southern delaware maybe south jersey gets a little rain later tonight. This spin over maine thats really the big feature. That core of cold air stuck across new england. Until it gets out of here were not warming up but were on a warming trend. Yesterdays high 56 today 58. Average 67 so well below that. But notice the line each day we get closer to average and even above average by the middle of next week as we approach 70 degrees. 57 at the airport right now, low 50s millville mid50s atlantic city. Really nothing terribly warm across the northeast. Were just stuck in cool pocket of air so everybody is feeling the chill. Pollen count remains high. Not a lot of rain in our forecast society air is not able to clean out. So again well be well over a 10 out of a scale of 12 so oak birch and maple if those pollens cause you problems youll be feeling it for the next several days. Temperaturewise tomorrow back into the mid 60s so closer to average, partly sunny skies as we head into monday, maybe a couple of showers not a big deal. Tuesday were going to be on the dry side as well. So lets time it out for you. Clouds tonight maybe a shower or two south of the city into delaware and south jersey. By the afternoon sunday were looking good with mostly sunny conditions as we head into monday some scattered showers around. Temperaturewise tomorrow again nice rebound. Mid 60s for the warm spots little cooler up to the north in the Lehigh Valley and poconos. Farther to the south were going to be closer to the 50s near the coastline. So again lets talk about that cold pocket of air over new england. It just sits across our region and as we head over the next several days it will slowly move off to the north and east so each day were going to warm things up a little bit. So for tonight not quite as cold maybe a few showers in the south, 43 for center city. Tomorrow nice rebound to 65 degrees. Look at next week again maybe a shower chance monday and thursday but 70, 70 degrees returns for our high for wednesday so keeping it in the 60s to near 70. Hopefully i can get rid of the coat eventually. Yeah. I dont want to bring that thing back out again. I got to put it away. Once and for all its got to go to the back of the closet. Heres ben revere. We needed this one big time. You know, very very great game. Had great defense. Routine plays and everything so it was definitely a Great Team Win all around. The phillies got another dominant performance from aaron harang last night went eight innings striking out six only gave up two hits harang credited his catcher. Me and chooch were on the same page from the get go.
