A developing story this morning, a darby boro Police Officer is dead this morning after a shooting at his home. Police say the 26 yearold officer was shot once in the chest while offduty inside of his Delaware County home, authorities immediately launched an investigation and they are expect to file homicide charges later today. Police say it happened just after 4 30 p. M. At this home in the 600 block of magnolia drive, officers responded to a report of the shots fired arrived on the scene and found a four year veteran officer in an upstairs bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The the officer was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he died. The the parttime officer was also a yeadon fire fighter and will be missed. He was a shining star in the department. He was an even tempered nice guy, anybody that met him, they always had a good word for him. He knew how to talk to people. The the darby boro Police Department is mourning loss of of one of their own and homicide charges are expected to be filed later today. We are looking at temperatures this afternoon that get the in the mid to upper 40s yesterday they were in the lower 40s and with that wind it felt more like 20s and 30s all day. Today will be noticeable difference but still probably feeling colder then a actual temperature. High pressure can be thanked for this. Tomorrow we will get into the upper 50s. We will be close to 60 degrees tomorrow, we do start to see maybe early tomorrow morning, chance of a rain shower, brief snow shower just watching for that and ill give you timing that we necessity of right phosphor that event. Then by tuesday afternoon and another little event that within rain showers in the afternoon but temperatures staying in the 50s. Police in north philadelphia are searching for this suspect who barged into a home on west erie avenue early this morning. Twentyfive yearold home owner was stabbed and robbed he is now stable, at Temple University hospital. And, one man is in einstein hospital after this fire on east ashmed street not far from lasalle university. Victim was treated for smoke inhalation, the cause of that fire, is under investigation.
