Turning now to weather, matt, unfortunately, not the best of days on tap, but slightly ever so slightly better than yesterday . You know, if you like cooler temperatures, today will be the day for you. It will be the first day in five days that we havent hit 09 degrees. Thats good. Thats a plus, now, unfortunately, walking outside your hair will get huge because the humid it is back to just being ungodly high for us once again this afternoon. So, be prepared for high humidity. But again, temperatures that are going to be much closer to average, than what weve had the last couple of afternoons, we will get to 86 degrees today. Thats our High Temperature. Our average high for this time of year, 87. So pretty much on par where we need to be for the middle to second half of july. Even august still looking at the temperatures in the eight s, but im ready for september. We start to see the temperatures fall down into the 70s, then start to get that fall like feel. Humidity is gone usually by the time we get to the second half of september. But, today is not the second half of september. Today will be just as muggy as it has been the last couple of afternoons. Not ton of sunshine for us, thats why temperatures will stay little lower for the afternoon hours. But we still have the threat for Severe Weather. So we had strong thunderstorms yesterday, in the evening, it looks like our better chances for those severe thunderstorms today, are going to come overnight tonight, into the Early Morning hours of our monday. Not really the best timing for those strong storms. Waking up to temperatures that are in the 70s, across the entire area, we get little bit keel, as you head further north. Mount pocono 67, 79 in philly. Seventyeight in millville, and then down at the shore, wildwood, 77 degrees. Starting out the day, what you are noticing, we continue to see the dew points in the 70s, very sticky, investigate mu i, and thats not changing, no matter what happens this afternoon, with our temperatures. Satellite and radar from the last couple every hours or so, few light showers out there, as we started the show, but overall, what we are really watching is this stationary front, thats sitting right over top of central pa. Back down into the ohio river valley, and even back down into the midwest, as well, with the area of low pressure, in the eastern great lakes, thats going to slide a little further to the east. The low, and will actually just push far enough south that we end up on the northern side of that stationary front, so while it does trigger shower, thunderstorm activity for us, it is whats actually keeping our temperatures a little bit cooler today, because, again, we will be on the northern side of that front. As the thunderstorms develop though later this evening, and overnight tonight, there is the threat for Severe Weather, everywhere that is shaded in the yellow, majority of the viewing area, slight risk thats the second level of our five levels of Severe Weather risk. So again, we are watching pretty much the entirety of the viewing area. Even out toward allentown, part of bucks county, still in the marginal risk for Severe Weather, again, later this evening, and tonight. Not much happening, quiet conditions for the most part this afternoon, by about 10 00 , there are the thunderstorms out to the western suburbs, a we get into tomorrow morning, we will be seeing thunderstorm activity across center city. It exits pretty much the entire region as we get through the afternoon hours, maybe few stray showers here or there, though, on monday afternoon. Biggest threats are going to be some downpours every rain, of course, some lightening, now gusty winds apartment the small chance for some severe hail is out there, too, so thats ourself ear weather chances, again, the winds and the hail, with the heavy rain of course always a problem. 09 degrees for us tomorrow. Back to the 90s after 86 today much lower humidity, though, tuesday and wednesday, with temperatures there, jan, in the mid 80s, but then, eights and 90s, thats high 80s, 90s, by the ends of the week. Matt, thank you. Now 8 19. Time to check the roads. Lets go over to Amanda Mueller at the cbs3 Traffic Center. Good morning, amanda. Turning to weather, Matt Peterson here with the full forecast, are you tired of saying muggy today. I wish we had running tally like the iverson press conference, he said practice. Said it a lot of times. Count how many times the weather team says muggy, humid , hot, the last week, i would just want to know. Because it has got to be well over 100 times that weve been talking about it, because it is just been so uncomfortable. Good news, slightly less hot out there. Unfortunately, it remains just as muggy and sticky and humid for our sunday. Little bit over cats this morning, and then, there is the chance for another rounds of Severe Weather as we go through late evening, watching the storms, storms to come in through the philadelphia area, as we wake up on our sunday morning, just getting ready to step out the door maybe you see temperatures in the 70s, so, it is another warm start to the day. But because of those overcast skies, really not going to rise too much more always cooler in the poke next, dealing with the 70s to start the out the day. That muggy air mass that continues to just sit over top of the delaware valley. Good news, take a look, dew point will dip as we get into our work week, we start this week out monday, in the owe press i have range again, seeing the high 60s again, low 70s for us tomorrow, so know relief but check out tuesday, now still technically in the steamy range, but just bottom edge, not bad air, looking on tuesday, to probably see dew point into the lower 60s, so again, little bit more comfortable for us, then by wednesday, we could even maybe see few areas with dew point in the 60s, something we havent seen in quite some time. Across the philadelphia area. See the cloud cover, few light showers out, there few hours ago, traveling along this stationary front, that comes in from the atlantic, through central pa, and back into the nations mid section, a was he will. Will allow showers and thunderstorm to continue to fire up along that stationary front. As we go through the day today , at least, marshallly through the day today anyway. Then more so as we go through the overnight hours tonight. So here is ourself ear threat, slight risk everywhere in the yellow, watching for the threat for some heavier rainfall, of course, lightning always an issue, heavy downpours, could lead to the potential of maybe little bit of flashflooding, hail and gusty winds are some of the lower threats, but those threats are out there, nonetheless, as we go through the nighttime hours tonight. Quiet for the most part sunday on our future weather. Cloud cover doesnt real i go anywhere. Stray shower, not completely ruled out for the sunday, but better chance for thunderstorms, you see hereby 10 00 in the western you can suburbs, northwestern areas, then tomorrow morning, 8 00, 9 00 pushing through center city by 9 00, 10 00. Central new jersey, by lunchtime even into the afternoon looking at relatively quiet conditions, across philly, south jersey, still looking at some shower activity, thunderstorms to the north, there, in the afternoon and evening. And we cant completely rule out stray shower here in philly in the afternoon tomorrow either. But again the better chance is going to be in the first half the day. 86 degrees for High Temperature this afternoon, back to the 90s, tomorrow, and then we have very nice conditions, front finally slides far enough south, tuesday, wednesday, low humidity, temperatures in the 80s, but then back to the high eights, and 90s, with the humidity by the end of the week. Something to look forward to, matt, wednesday looking pretty darn good. Matt, thank you. Now 8 49.
