They say the 76 year old driver was pulling the trolley with a van when the trolley began to sway, and overturned. Fortunately, everyone is expected to be okay. Two people are in the hospital after a car crash on the schuylkill expressway in the citys wynnefield section. Police tell us four cars were involved. Happened around 3 30 near the montgomery avenue exit. Both people hurt in the crash are in stable condition. Part of the rye way was closed and the accident is under investigation. All of this stems from a controversy that took place over a year ago where rogue operations every uber x and lyft have put a strain on the heavily regulate the taxi industry here in philadelphia. And it forced the Philadelphia Parking Authority to crackdown on these unregulated drivers, in july, just before the Democratic National convention, uber execute add agreement with the ppa to allow Ride Sharing Services in philadelphia, but that was only and tomorrow per area basis. In exchange, drivers paid attacks that would benefit city schools. Of course that agreement expired on friday, and as of yesterday, uber x and lyft drivers no longer have that permission to drive in the city of philadelphia. Even though they can still operate in the rest of the pennsylvania. Riders have no idea about the tech until call tis, will likely continue to use the service. Use it all the time now. Most people use it all the time now. I know it affect the taxi drivers. But there is room for both. I presume there will be something worked out. We be able to have lyft and uber take us where we need to go. Now we spoke with ppa spokesman this week, he did confirm that uber x and lyft are considered illegal. But did he not say whether or not the ppa will enforce that by finding drivers. We do noah permanent solution is in the works. Musicians walked out on friday night, which was supposed to be Opening Night after last minute talks reach a deal broke down. Philadelphia orchestra musicians say they do plan to perform at the audience appreciation concert on tuesday. Investigators with the National Transportation safety board have now interviewed the engineer after commuter train that crashed in hoboken, new jersey. That crash killed a woman on the platform, injured more than 100 other people. Kris van cleave bridges us uptodate. A source familiar with the investigation tells cbs news after months of concern, about a leadership vacuum at new Jersey Transit, federal regulators launched a deep audit of the agencys operations in june. It discovered dozens of safety violations. Regulators were preparing to implement additional scrutiny and enforcement measures prior to thursdays accident. She was setting records on the court, her dad, who had been on the transplant waiting list, couldnt wait any more. Living donor transplantation is a way to provide a liver to a patient who may not be able to get a deceased donor transplant. Doctor, the chief of transplant surgery at penn medicine. The liver is unique. It is the only solid organ in the body that has the ability to grow, and regenerate. Katie was the only suitable match for the transplant, her Four Brothers were tested along with other family members. I was just hoping it would be somebody else. The drexel hill retired truck driver was worried about his 22 year old daughter having major surgery, losing part of her liver. He told me a thousand times i didnt have to do it, there was no pressure, you know, we figure Something Else out. But that wasnt really ever an option once i knew i was a match, i was just ready to go through with it. She never listens. You can see that we actually measure the size of her liver. In june, doctor removed 60 of katies liver. And transplanted it into her dad. Their opening cents went very, very smoothly. Now theyre back outside, shooting hoops with that special connection. It is my dad, so it wasnt really a hard choice. I was happy that i was a match and it was able to work out. The latest i am alleging here at penn medicine shows katies liver has already grown back to it normal size, in just three months. And toms is functioning perfectly. Preparations underway right now at the Philadelphia Museum of art, on the ben franklin parkway, the walk raises money and awareness for suicide education and prevention. The walk starts at 8 30 00 a. M. Also, happening today on the ben franklin parkway, the 83rd annual pulaski day parade. This years parade will mark 308 408 years of the first polish settler in america. The parkway closed 16th to 23rd streets, the logan circle. Parade kicks off 12 30 p. M. Just a lot of events on the parkway today, a lot of people will be out there. Hopefully the rain . That shutdown between the Spring Garden street and the art museum circle. Inbound shutdown between fairmount, along the parkway and the falls bridge for those events. We move the traffic cam here. There you go. This is i95 at curl lands street. No delays or problems here, but this is right near the Commodore Barry bridge. I want to point out that the ramp to 95 southbound is closed for construction. It plans to be closed until 5 00 tonight. Now the Commodore Barry bridge westbound is jammed between the midspan and i95 because of this closure. So again, the Commodore Barry bridge is out of range that we , our camera range, we cant get it for you but it is jammed. Moving the traffic cam one more time 422 westbound west of collegeville. If those drivers are caught again they will be fined, not the passengers being and the States Legislature is expected to look at this issue when sessions begin later this month. Mostly cloudy today, up in the poconos, 62 degrees, tomorrow little milder, with some sunshine, up to 65. Low 60s on tuesday with some sunshine. Starting to think about the fall foliage, not seeing whole lot of change yet up in the mountains, it takes a little bit. Still got probably few weeks to go yet. Generally midoctober is when we peak. Basically into the poconos. Later in the month, toward the end of the month, from philadelphia, parts of south jersey, and delaware, and looks like we are pretty much on schedule for the peak of the foliage this season. All right, lets talk about the tropics, and matthew, where is the storm headed . Still little early to tell whats going to happen over the next seven days, or so. But meantime, it is on northerly track, but whats going to control where matthew goes is the jet stream. Upper levels. We take you to thursday, so this is the forecast where the gem stream is. You can see the flow here, the purple, indicating the strong winds. Here is matthew. Stuck off the coast of florida. On thursday, so, there is not a lot of movement over the next few days, just no winds to really pick this storm up. But as we head late this week into the weekends, jet stream, starts to move closer to the east coast. Some of the winds tries to capture matthew. Where this interaction takes place, will control if matthew goes out to sea or hugs the coastline, so the earlier this capture happens it, will start to turn it more taught sea, some of the models are picking up that, just one forecast model. This one would keep it off shore. This would be good scenario, still rough surf expected later in the week, toward delaware, jersey shore. So lets talk about matthew. Right now category four storm over the central caribbean, winds at 150. Moving slowly north and west. It will make the northerly turn next three, five days, that he where most of the models have it by the bahamas middle of the week. After that, some of the guidance does take if off shore. Some still hugs it near the coast. So, both scenarios still possible this point. A lot of time to watch the storm, see what happens over the next five days. Back home today, clouds, maybe a shower arriving overnight. And then tomorrow we start it break these clouds up. We will see more sunshine around, that warms the temperatures up today. So still, somewhat cool, 60s, maybe low 70s, at best tonight. Pretty much like we are dealing with this morning. 50s to about 60 degrees. Then noticeably milder tomorrow. With the sun back to the mid 70s. So for today, morning mist, otherwise mostly cloudy, 72, tonight a shower chance, low near 60. And the mill Social Security brought here from our farm to make the cheese. Cheese makers vernon brewbaker takes it from there. Today hes making monterrey jack. How much cheese do you make a day . Probably 600 pounds a day. 600 pounds a day . Yes. Once the mill Social Security pasturized, he adds cultures, some yeast, forming curds and whey. What were diagnose right now, were draining the curds and whey. Eventually the cheese all gets packed in mold. And then the next morning, it will be a block of cheese. General manager, nelson martin, gives me the scoop on their hollandstyle gud. When we make our gooda cheese, we press it into the mold, the wheel we see here. This is the brine tank, thick salt water, where it is absorbing the salt. We put edible coating onto seal it. When it dries we stack it on our shelves for aging. What happens to these boards, boards from holland, it absorbs the flavor of the board in the humidity with the cheese which enhances the flavor. Brr, little colds in here. Yep, we have the temperatures at 56 degrees. And the humidity is 83 humidity. Like a cave age cooler which allows the cheese to breathe as it ages. And as it ages, the cheese gets better. Some cheeses are here only for a few weeks. Others stay for six years before they hit the shelves. The farm store resembles a little village. Selling ice cream, baked goods, treats, and hot sandwiches. I think i may have to try something. Yes, well, speaking of, that we have some food for you here. We have a grilled clues sandwich, and fried cheese curds. Oh, i cant even tell you. One of those things you dont want to do on camera, but you guys, this is so good.
