Avenue darling, little camilla, she is available for adoption at the pennsylvania spca isnt that prince charts wife name . Yes, different though little chihuahua, talking about this, also, about microchip, so important, this time of the year more more than other times of the year, halloween, can be the most dangerous time of the year for animals, so we want to make sure people can get their pets back, first, tack a look at animals that are for adoption. Like this beauty. This is lay did a, one year old hound retriever mix. And she was pulled from a high intake shelter. She would love to go home with somebody with a lot of entheusiasm, just like she does, she an angel. And then, nala look how cute this dog is rahel. Look at the little socks, the face, female black and white terrier mix. She is a puppy, she is just darling. Four month old. And i think would make wonderful pet. And you get her early, four month old, thats fun too. Here is midnight, five year old black male cat, friendly, social, he doesnt want to be just, you know, constantly handled, but he does love attention, would do best in the house with kids, ten or older. Then talking more about camilla, but i really want to talk about micro chipping, and keeping id on your pet. Now, studies say, that really collars and tags the best way to get your pet back. Bye microchips are almost foolproof. And lets take a look, how big are they . What are they . Look at this, look at the comparison of the size of microchip that little thing that rolled on the hand, compared to a dog tag. So you can see how small it is. It is put in the dog during just like almost like a vac continuation, with a needle, put in the back of the dog. And then it is red this way. It is red with a a scanner. Now these scanners some are universal scanners, thats what you certainly hope shelters have. Or other places, thats all, because they can read all of the frequencies that microchip can be. Most places will have a scan their can read everything. Here is how the scanning is done. From the pennsylvania spca. The number would come up, contact the microchip company. Give us the information we could let you know and you can pick up your cat and it wouldnt be lost. You know, a cat that doesnt have a microchip has less than a 2 chance of being returned from a shelter, if they are a stray. There is no stray hold at all f your cat is not microchip and get out the, by state law, they dont have to hold them at all. They can be euthanized, given to other people, et cetera. Pets worse fear. And for dogs, 50 or more with a mick row chip will come back, and a dog with a microchip has to by law in pennsylvania be hell for ten days. So, otherwise, it is only 48 hours. So, that is really a lifesaver. These microchips really just go right between the shoulder blades. They are your dogs voice. Lets talk about camilla. So sweet all morning, hasnt made a peep. She has been wonderful. Was wonderful back in our gwen room, covered with little brown and white hair, but camilla six year old female, will be after this show, available for adoption, will be at our cheryle, and thats on in fishtown. And thats on frankford avenue. And thats 1546 frankford avenue. So right after the show you can find her there, also doing yoga with cats event there. Dont you love that . Back to the micro chipping, really nothing again is as good as the collar and tags, but you couple that, but they can be lost, they can pulled off. You couple that with microchip, or just microchip alone, and really safeguard getting your pet back t allows your pets to find you again. Just the size after little grain of rice, and it is the way for animals to get back this time of the year can be pretty tricky for animals. Good to see you, camilla, nice to see you, hopefully found her happy home, if you would like to see camilla visit the spca erie avenue headquarters, 1 00 to eight luring during the week, at fishtown center. And hopefully find cam all a new home. Thats it for Eyewitness News at 7 00. Heres what we have for you coming up at 8 00ment the things every trickortreater needs out the door.
