Here we go kutztown berks county kutztown area middle school. 66 degrees. Wind are calm. Sunshine right now. That will head east ward with the cold front. It looks like tomorrow we will bring back chances for scattered showers and storms. Until then we will enjoy some sunshine. Again, pocono forecast, remaining on the warm side throughout this entire weekend , as well. Now if you are at the shore you may have noticed those beaches, you were the at have been colder then normal as far as water temperature. That is the win. Past couple days we will get southwest wind parallel to the shore because of the, force and the way the earth spins everything gets deflect to the right. We have wind blowing from south to north, the top warm surface water gets pushed out to sea and then replaced by cold water beneath. We have some locations off the new jersey shore with ocean water temperature in the mid 60s. That is cold water upwelling. Then we have the opposite when you get northeast wind it brings in warmer water. So usually when we have hot, humid conditions we will get southerly wind. That means colder water at new jersey shore but still feels good when you talk about 90 degree air temperatures. We are dry this have afternoon High Pressure protecting us. Here comes the warm front bringing more humidity. Watch out for scattered showers and storms tomorrow afternoon as the cold front approaches. The once it passes on tuesday morning, it is not going to bring us any cold air. Tomorrow, good chance to set some new records pretty much anywhere in the delaware valley. Record highs are cooler tomorrow, generally mid to upper 90s, philadelphia 96 is the record for tomorrow. Thanks, justin. Lots of traffic news. At 7 44 lets go to ann evans in the Traffic Center and were talking dnc. It looks like an accident there. We are looking at i95 southbound rahel between girard and vine street expressway and what is happening here all of those flashing lights is Police Department activity Traffic Control for fiveton vehicle restriction happening. It looks like an accident but it isnt. What is going on is they are blocking left lane, police are blocking left lane to enforce this fiveton vehicle restriction. And vehicles over five tons are prohibited on i95 between vine street expressway and platt bridge from now through midday next friday. So another example of this as i move traffic cam is on the vine street expressway, eastbound, right lane block to the right of your screen, Police Department activity on the ramp to i95 southbound. They are enforcing this five ton vehicle restriction, same story here on i95 northbound at platt bridge more Police Department activity and left lane is block. This is kobe, two monthold kitten we will find out shore about him, and how to adopt him. I will be holding him. It is interesting for our topic on separation anxiety and your pets. Cats because they are not the same as dogs are, they tend to not have separation anxiety, anywhere nearly as often, as a dog might. Ive got a couple of things. What is separation anxiety. That is when a petties anxious or completely panicked when their owner is gone. It is like a panic attack. It is from a broken bond attachment. Pets, some of them have a lot stronger tendency to bond strongly for various reasons and they have a big fear of being left alone, now there are studies that show there is no association between a clients behavior and development of separation anxiety, although some people think that people with little dog experience and dogs with little training might have a higher incident of this happening. Do not punish. That is first thing. That will only make it worse. Now, what are the symptoms. If you have a pet with separation anxiety, you know, it is vocal says, your neighbors telling you your doggies barking like crazy, house breaking, accidents, destruction of the property, licking, that sort of thing, any on have that can be a medical issue so you have to check that out, as well. How do you get your pet over this . We went to the pennsylvania spca and talk to the manager oven rich. And behavior and asked laura garber a couple of tips that you might do to help your pet while you are out of the house increasing exercise and physical exercise, is one way, which is, you know, going for runs, playing ball in the yard , dog play for dog friendly dogs, another thing mental stimulation, doing training with the dog, giving them kongs with their meals in them, that can help burn mental stimulation just like with humans when you come home from a day of work and you have been mentally putsing, you are mentally tired in the physically tire. Mental stimulation for dogs is just as important. Third thing would i say is, instilling a routine. Very interesting. Very interesting. Do not make a big deal when you leave the house with your pet, just walk out like walking from one room to another and that will keep them calmer, reward them for calm behavior. They want attention. Owe when they are calm, relaxed give them plenty of attention, dont make them seek it out through this crazy behavior and dogs can sleep in your bed, the experts say that does not contribute to separation anxiety. Well, that is good news. Well, kobe is cutest little cat. Yeah. This little baby is available for adoption. I think he wants to write i have seen him playing with the pen a little bit here. Yes. He is an angel. You can see he is a gray with white chest, very formally dressed, maybe because of the convention, he figures he has to step up his game a little bit. He is absolutely darling. He is about the range, is one to six months but were thinking it is probably closer to six. He is playful. I have a sweat shirt here because any little kitten wants to kneed and that sort of thing. He is a doll. A railable for adoption at pennsylvania spca. They have a lot of big events this weekend, so a lot of pets , fortunately were adopted we want this little baby to get a home. Such great tips about separation anxiety because as a pet owner you feel bad when you are leaving them about sort of of how they will be when you are gone so that is good at least even for us. Rahel, you hit the nail on the head, pet sitters and that sort of thing, babe gates up but Pay Attention to them when they are calm. They want attention. Why they are doing this exuberant greeting is for reassurance too. Make sure that they know i can walk out of the room and you can be loved, and you can remember that. So work with behaviorist, is there anti anxiety medication with behavior modification that is can help pets with separation anxiety. That is what we have to do. We want to get kobe adopted because kobe has been so adorable today. He has been good. Cats can be tricky in the studio because of the camera. They are all about their environment. This is a new environment but i think he is doing a great job. I think he is. I think this pen will keep him occupied. Yes. How would somebody find this little cat, rahel. Adopt toby visit p spca erie avenue headquarters, bring photo id and proof of address with you. Bring any children under the age of eight to meet their potential pet. You can contact the p spca at p spca. Org or 215 4266300. Just to recap on the separation anxiety, i know it is awful to come home. I have done it. I have seen the pillows destroyed. Do not punish. That makes them more anxious next time you come back. Work with the behaviorist and veterinarian and you can get this thing solved. Thanks, carroll. We will see you next week. Hopefully we will have kobe a home. Im sure we have. Well, that is it the for Eyewitness News at 7 00. Heres what we have at 8 00.
