This is a live look at i95, the betsy ross bridge, crews were working there earlier this morning, in both directions, all lanes are now open. The turnpike slow in both direction this is morning, between bensalem and the Delaware Valley for construction, that should be opening upright about now. Keeping an eye on that for you. Work there was scheduled to wrap up around 6 00. So you should see those lanes clearing up shortly as you head out this morning. Thank you, amanda. New this morning, Philadelphia Police are investigating a triple shooting. A woman and two men were shot around 2 30 this morning at north 29th street and ridge avenue. Investigators say, a fight started at a bar there. Private security guards then heard gunshots. They saw a person firing, and they returned fire, three security guards total returned fire. There was total of 19 shots fired by security guards. Now the woman is in Critical Condition, she was shot in her back, a man in stable condition after he was shot in the stomach. And yet, another man was grazed in the head. Philadelphia police have found two men shot in a tow truck in talcony. But investigators have an important clue that may help bring the gunman to justice. Eyewitness News Reporter anita oh, live at Police Headquarters this morning, to bring us up to date on this investigation. Anita . Reporter good morning, jan, those two men, ages 48 and 28, are in extremely Critical Condition after being shot multiple times, and police say, they may not survive their injuries. This all happened just after 8 00 last night in the talcony section of philadelphia. Lets get right to the video now, show you the scene, on the 6600 block of hagerman street. Police say the two men were signature inside a tow truck when investigators say the two gunmen walk up to them, opened the passenger side door, and started shooting. Police say the gunman shot the 28 year old in the head, and he was un response whiff paramedics rushed him to hahnemann hospital. They then shot the 48 year old multiple times in the chess. Hes also in Critical Condition at ariatorresdale. Chief inspector scott small explains what investigators found may help them find the suspect. We know that at least five shots were fired from a semiautomatic weapon. We fawn five spent shell casings, two actually inside of a tow truck on the passenger compartment. The other three were on the street, right next to the passenger side open door. Now, investigators know all of this because of surveillance video, multiple cameras showed the two suspect running away from the scene. Again, both of the victims are in extremely Critical Condition. People in one north philadelphia neighborhood are taking to the streets seeking an end to violence. This follows the deadly shooting of a 19 year old earlier this week. Reporter a scene becoming tragically repetitive. Another young life lost to gun violence in philadelphia. Nineteen year old damn ear allen was shot and killed here at 23rd and cecil b. Moore on monday. His mother and Family Members are left grieving the loss. I just want to violence to stop, thats it. My son, it was a senseless murder. The sees rally to honor the young victim comes on the heals of string of shootings sunday night in the city. Eight shootings in total, left two people dead. Philadelphia ceasefire group aimed at stopping gun violence says too many young men are becoming victims. And there is another young man full of life, full of potential, you know what i mean, gunned down in the streets of philadelphia. You can change it. It start by us. Our generation. We can stop the younger ones and proof to the older people, as well. Philadelphia police certainly have their hands full as this has been a particularly violent week in the city of philadelphia. All of the shootings are still under investigation. At Police Headquarters, Natasha Brown, cbs3, Eyewitness News. Meantime, the Justice Department is giving good marks to the Philadelphia Police department, they found the department has made significant progress for recommendations that focus on the use of deadly force, which disproportionately affected minority communities. All of these things that the Department Still has to deal with and provide high quality Crime Reduction services and Police Services to the community, while implementing significant changes; extremely impressive. I want to make the announcement today about that because i think in many ways that the Philadelphia Police department will now be a model to the rest of the country. Since the reformers began, in march of 2015, some of the key areas of progress included an update to the Police Departments use of force policy, and body cameras usage. So the Police Department requested the federal probe in 2013. The Justice Department, how much, blasted chicagos Police Department. That report found that officers in the countrys second Largest Police force have been violating peoples Constitutional Rights for years. It says Chicago Police have displayed a long standing pattern of using excessive force, even killing people who didnt pose a threat. The Justice Department, and chicago officials, will start negotiations on reform to the Police Department. Well, we are now less than one week away from inauguration day. And an advisor to donald trump says the president elect will be in washington on monday preparing for the big day. Mr. Trump took to twitter again on friday, to deny russia has compromising information on him. He called the allegations fake news. Meanwhile, a leading democratic congressman is questioning Donald Trumps presidency. And as Craig Boswell reports, republicans are working to undo the signature legislation plaintiff trumps predecessor. So, travel could go downhill little bit midafternoon into the evening hours. New this morning, investigators trying to pinpoint what caused house fire in burlington county. The call came in around midnight, to the 500 block every west Second Street in palmyra. Two people got out safely and firefighters had the flames under control there in just about a half hour. Well, a Dramatic Development in city into the investigation into the deaths of former ceo of Cooper UniversityHealth System and his wife. Medical examiner has overturned a ruling in the 2014 deaths of john and joyce sheridan. As eyewitness News Reporter alexandria hoff tells us, the sheridans four sons have been work to go clear their fathers name. Reporter a. M. Ending John Sheridans manner of deaf from sever inflicted wounds to undetermined changes a lot. At least in part, a huge wrong has been made right. Six months after cooper hospital ceo John Sheridan and his wife joyce were found dead inside of their new jersey home, in september of 2014, investigators in Somerset County concluded that john had fatally stabbed his wife, then himself, after setting their house on fire but motive was never determined, and the sheridans four sons, never bought it. Although it does seem that doctor fail zone is taking steps to make that right. Per the revision, state medical examiner, doctor john stated while John Sheridans wounds did appear selfinflicted, quote, no weapon was recovered from the scene that could be conclusively associated with the wounds sustained by mr. Sheridan. It almost never happens where a medical examiner will change their findings. Peter, attorney, not related to the case, but does add that even when the manner of death is amended, it doesnt necessarily mean that a case will be reopened. Regardless of what the medical examiner report says. Prosecutors remains his aggress over to what stroke for the family undetermined manner of death opens the door for an investigation into a possible outside killer. Weve certainly suggest some possible motives, to authorities, for my parents being killed. The family maintains 250,000 reward for any information that would lead to a conviction. Ninetyeight year old New Castle County woman has died from the flu making her the second delaware resident to die from the illness this season. Delaware isnt the only state feeding the symptoms, the state of new jersey, is now reporting high levels of seasonal flu. Health Officials Say an increasing number of student rent missing class across the garden state because of the flu, and norovirus, the flu vaccine is encouraged for everyone, specially as more people begin to get sick. New signs popped up in Rittenhouse Square this weekend, many people are not too happy about it. They say the signs tell people not to sit on the parks wall. In a statement the philadelphia parks and Recreation Department says these new signs went up asking you not to sit down after a recent up tick in vandalism on the interior wall. Which was revitalized a few years ago. But a spokesperson for the Department Says the no sitting signs are the equivalent of ones which may say stay off the grass. Translation, it is not illegal to plop down. Police can only ask you to move. Get off the wall. No problem. We ask the new law enacted, they say no, just a courtesy. We said well well eat our hundred. We did not find one person who supported the new suggestion. Thats probably like way mourn important way more important thing in the city to care about than people sitting on this wall. Even the mayor appeared against it. Thats not what parks are b parks are about people enjoying the space, regardless whether you like them there or not. We start to see the light snow southwest to northeast. One area thats going to be on the edge of the snow, up into the Lehigh Valley. Check it out. Northampton county live look bethlehem, main street flags pretty calm. Light breeze, about 5 Miles Per Hour or so. Again, morning hours, Lehigh Valley stay dry. Afternoon, into the evening, could be a little bit of light snow, maybe coating of snow. Specially on the untreated surfaces. So lets break it down. Clouds over us right now, but the being of the moisture still well to the south and west, in southwestern dc, near hagerstown, point westward, not even steady precipitation, it is broken up here. It will linger here for the next few days, will be a lot of problems with ice, over the next 48 to even 72 hours. We have Winter Weather advisories west of philadelphia, for us, and you go out, into the central us, thats the ice storm warnings, winter storm watches in effect, and like i said there is storm will linger over this part of the country for the next several days. And in the form of some freezing rain. So, for us, clouds this morning. We have light snow starting to move in probably by 2 00, 3 00 or so for philadelphia, into the evening hours. Then it moves off shore. We have that cold air locked in place, at least for today. Tomorrow, not a bad finish to the weekend. Sunshine does return. Temperatures warm up little bit. Back into the 40s. Few degrees above average. So, into early afternoon, we start to see the light snow moving in from the south and west, temperatures go above freezing for a lot of spots. Once the snow start to fall, probably drop few degrees. Hovering around the freezing mark, this afternoon into the evening. Thats when things could get little tricky on some of the area roadways, could see rain across extreme southern new jersey and central delaware. By 9 00, 10 00 most of the moisture off shore. Get colder again tonight. Early tomorrow morning could be few slick spots, untreated surfaces, then back to the 40s for afternoon temperatures on sunday. Snowfall amount, not big deal.
