Police surrounded a home on the 200 block of south millick street. Eyewitness News ReporterNicole Brewer is there with more, nicole. Reporter ukee and jessica we are here at 60th and walnut street where police have completely shut down this road after a hostage situation essentially turned into a crime scene. We are told by commissioner moments ago about two blocks up on the 200 block of south millick Street Police say a man was barricaded inside a home for about an hour and a half were four children and two other adults inside. Police tell us they were called out to a domestic incident just present 4 30 and when they arrived the officers were invited inside by a female, at some point, a male started shooting at police from the kitchen area inside that home at which point officers fired back striking that male and then took cover. He was brought out on a stretcher. We are told that male shooter after successful negotiations by the Philadelphia Police department and swat team members is now in stable condition. The it is not clear who fired the shots. We also know a female was struck in the arm, this female possibly the male shooters sister. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition. As you can tell a very active scene out here in cobbs creek with the Philadelphia Police commissioner out here as well as city police, Fire Departments and as well as swat team mens but for now good news in all this is negotiations were successful, everyone is safe, of course, two people with gunshot wound are in stable condition. The it has been exactly two months and 15 days since folcroft boro Police OfficerChristopher Dorman was shot by a suspect seven times, incredibly he fully recovered and tonight he is back on the job. Never had a chance for emotion to set in from day one, horrible news he received on the way to the hospital and before that sibking in you find out he will be okay, then he is released and then it is 100 percent recovery. It is hard to believe. Two months later he is back to work. Reporter on friday june 24th, Christopher Dorman was responding to what the chief says is a pretty average call. Someone dialing 911 reporting possible drug activity. When he arrived and confronted the suspect donte island dorman was ambush, island shot him seven times including once in the face. Incredibly survived. None of the injuries were life threatening. Dorman was even released from the hospital that following monday. Ever since, he tells us he has been waiting for today.
