The as you can see over here, you can see the area where they keep some of the chairs that people use when they are on the beach and there is sandbags there, and, making sure that the water will stay away from those items there but if you look at the other side, toward the boardwalk, people are acting like there is nothing going on here. And then even more focus and more caution, will be, tomorrow mornings high tide, and as you can see cherri pointed out we seem to have surf all week. Beach erosion was to be expect but the real point of caution will be those, on the bay side of things these back bay area can easily become flooded at high tide. Heed warnings, beware that it says right now some roadways are flooded, it is saying out of precaution for upcoming high tides but for those who stuck it through this weekend i think that they are not feeling so poorly about that choice right now, at least, and if anyone is up and going for a run this morning not a bad morning to do so, rahel. Wind relax a little bit. Looking at future weather model. Heres the storm this afternoon couple hundred miles off the coast, and tries to move a little west ward over the next 24 hours we call that retro grading because of the High Pressure system just blocking it. This storm has no where to go until that high breaks down and this storm still lingering over our region off shore tuesday but we will clear out the skies, that turns out to be not a bad tuesday, as well as far as sky conditions go but persistent on shore wind through at least monday, possibly into Tuesday Morning and again we will be dealing with another concern of high tides later tonight and tomorrow morning that will be the best shot to see the worst tidal flooding across the new jersey shore and delaware beaches. So again we will see sunshine mixed with cloud for inland spots, more clouds try to move in tonight into tomorrow but still dry, through much of the region even for labor day. We have a couple showers in southern Del Marva Peninsula and that is about it oer wise that, clouds, and sunshine mixed today. The storm system has 65mile an hour wind and we could get higher gusts, so Tropical Storm warnings remain in effect for coastal areas of new jersey, and delaware. The it is still moving east north east at the 12 Miles Per Hour but eventually it is expected to slow down, move around a little bit off the coast, perhaps more perhaps west ward tomorrow and then back to the north east very slowly over the next few days so that is why still strong wind continue along the coastline with that coastal flood threat. Cherri gregg from our sister station kyw news radio is live, and cherri, earlier you saw people at the casino, boardwalk, still looking normal out there. Reporter it does, rahel, good morning. It does look normal. We saw people walking down the boardwalk abe im standing here on the Atlantic City boardwalk near steel pier a few hundred feet from the beach but if you take a walk down the boardwalk there is people, down here, just walking around, they are heading home from the casino, some luck year then others, folks i spoke with told me that yesterdays wind was much more brisk then it is today. If we saw down here we saw a guy a few moments ago riding his uni cycle down the boardwalk. The bird are here. They are chirping. They are making noise. There is wind but it is not really abnormal. But that is on this side. If you go over to the beach and ill give tommy, my photographer, kudos for this because we will walk over to the beach here and that is where you can tell that there is a storm coming. That is where you can see pretty high surf all they there is not a lot of sand blowing around you can see that there is, some wind here, you can see several feet high waves and i will give him a chance to get over there and show you guys this but there is several foot high waves and they are pretty, pretty powerful there. They are hitting up against those roxanne as they roll in the high tide which is just after 10 00 a. M. This morning. You can tell people are Still Standing on the beach. When sun was rising this morning people taking romantic strolls, holding hand, enjoying their vacation here but there are sandbags around the rental sheds where there are chairs, bounce seats and umbrellas, just in case and you can see the line there where the sand line where water will come at four and a half feet around 10 00 a. Our Team Coverage continues further south in avalon where Eyewitness News reporter alexandria hoff is live on the boardwalk with the very latest on conditions there, good morning, alex. Reporter i think i heard you ripping on my look earlier but we are on the beach in fact so i needed my hair in a hat but despite what it does say, we are in avalon this morning, were coming in we have noticed signs saying that roads were closed or flooded. Now they are not from what we can see this morning at all but that is precautionary, with the high tide coming in right now. Now if you look over up at the ocean as cherri was showing you this it is truly a beautiful morning. This surf has been rough all week long keeping life guard on their toes, it doesnt seem like there will be any beach closures despite state of of emergency in the county but what could happies life guard could determine that it is just too rocky, too strong of rip currents and they could decide to put a swimming ban into effect and until the water is very warm, probably, pretty tempting but something i have not been seeing which ill often see before storms is surfers dwindled off. Justin and i both surf where it gets to the point where it is just too rocky, you do in the want to risk it. It is not fun anymore. We have been seeing same thing cherri has been seeing people taking strolls on the beach. One woman said can you please say it is horrible so no one else come down, there his no lines at the restaurant tonight. Cant tell you that because it is pretty nice. Those that stuck it out are not upset the that they did at least right the now and they are trying to soak this every bit of the good weather that they can. Reporter a thrill that is just music to our ears. Vittoria woodill for cbs3 Eyewitness News. Justin is back with what we can expect to see today. To take not a bad day. The as far as windings at the shore, tomorrow will be a little bit worst. We will see wind increasing as that storm may try to pull back closer toward the shore but rain chances will be very small even on the coastal areas. Again, key thing with the storm system is this strong gusty wind later tonight and tomorrow, and then still around times of high tide we will be dealing with potential for moderate, maybe major coastal flooding there. We are coming in on our next high tide in the next three hours or so. There is live look at margate. Ocean roughed up a bit but water is not up to the dune lines right now but that could change around times of high tide. We have persistent north to northeast wind continuing through the next several days as this storm system is just real stubborn. It does not want to leave our region. Overall not looking bad on storm scan three. We have clear skies from the city on north and west. It will be a decent sunday if you have outdoor plans, across most of the region. Even you will see few peaks of sun along the shore, wind will pick up more, this afternoon, but steady rain remains well off shore. Now as storm energizees more, tries to have move further west ward, we will see later tonight and tomorrow. We may see a few more cloud Building Back in tonight and labor day. Maybe a shower or two is possible tomorrow, along the coast but that chance is pretty slim. So at least, it is Getting Better but still, dont let your guard down.
