That still has to get through our region. Even with the the sunshine today we will struggle to get in the mid to upper 40s, that is a a good ten to 15 degrees above average. We have showers, during the day on monday, mainly during the afternoon, ahead of it we will get a surge of warmer air but guess what, once this front passes we will see another surge of cold air returning to the middle of the week. The it is all because of the jet stream. This thing is really active. We have a cold pocket over us right now. We have a surge of milder air, briefly. Then another dip in the jet the stream for tuesday, into wednesday. That just reenforcees the cold air. Thursday we will warm up again, and then another shot of some cold arctic air builds in by end of the week into next weekend. Every few days the pattern will shift on us. Windy and chilly today with sunshine, clouds, 47 for afternoon high temperature. Gusts 50 to 60 miles an hour, close to that, and mainly during morning hours.
