This is at the sunoco refinery in south philadelphia, you can tell philadelphia Fire Fighters are on the the scene right now trying to put as much water on to those flames as they possibly can but again the fire as it is described to us right now is burning out of control at the refinery, the sunoco refinery, 39,000 block of pen rose avenue. Pen rose avenue, pen rose avenue is the the scene here in south philadelphia a. Again, this is chopper three live over the scene and enormous refinery, of course, you have driven past it at some point driving through south philadelphia, driving on i95. We dont know exactly how you this fire started at this point we dont know if there are any injuries but as we can see it is a significant scene there in south philadelphia. It appears no word on injuries at this point but we also know that the wind are certainly playing a factor out there and possibly, fueling the flames as well, kate. Absolutely, this is the the worst time for a fire like this to pop up because we have a coal front moving through and is what moving through are gusty wind out of the north and west at 25 to 35 miles an hour right now and that will send that smoke and just fan those flames, at least through the next several hours. This does appear to be good news. This was the the fuel of this fire, right here, it has decreased substantially just during our commercial break. Eyewitness News ReporterSteve Paterson spoke with the former sergeant and has his story. Frustrating, it is frustrating. Reporter back when chris had a helmet on his head, gun in his hand and sergeant before his name the mission in iraq, seemed clear. Given the safety, give them safety, give them security that they are looking for and give them the infrastructure that we have to provide for them. Reporter the sergeant was deployed in 2004 assigned to oversee civil land projects in the the city of ramadi a capitol in iraqs Anbar Province where 1300 americans lost their lives. Chris saw plenty of combat and knew many who lost lives or limbs. Obviously scary, you know, anybody in my opinion who is telling you that they are not scared during combat is lying or crazy.
