We didnt see parent borrowing a couple of decades ago. About 17 of graduates have parents with loans out on their behalf. Average debt up to nearly 31,000 this year. If you put the student and the Parent Education debt together, both federal and private education loans we have seen them increase by more than ten fold since 1994.
