Thats compared with less than half two decades ago. And about 64 ten years ago. Now, thats just student that have debtor. Parents also borrowing right . Yes. This is new. We didnt see parent borrowing a couple of decades ago. About 17 of graduates have parents with loans out on their behalf. Average debt up to nearly 31,000 this year. If you put the student and the Parent Education debt together, both federal and private education loans we have seen them increase by more than ten fold since 1994. And jill, im thinking more students are borrowing because an agree is essential maybe . Yes. Absolutely. The Unemployment Rate for those with a high school agree is 5. 4 . That matches the overall Unemployment Rate. But, when you look at those with a college degree, it is half 2. 7 .
