She was a trail blazer in her field and tonight many are not remembering the way that she died but the hilarious way that she lived. The voice, brooklyn born queen of comedy may be gone but not soon forgotten. Joan rivers lived a long life in the public eye making people laugh for more than 50 years. A lot of female comics in those days, it was more men, so she was sort of out there as being, opinionated and full of herself, but it was a lot of fun to see her. Reporter as she was when comedy was a mans game. She got her break on the tonight show in the 60s. Johnny carson telling her that she would be a star. Famous for poking as much fun at herself as the celebrities that she roasted, becoming a permanent fill in on the tonight show. After she started to get all of the face lights she made jokes about that. I remember she made a joke once that her grandson was so used to seeing her in bandages that he saw, a movie of the mummy and said grand mom. Reporter rivers went to hollywood and then on to broadway most recently winning 2009 Celebrity Apprentice and hosting show on e called fashion police. Her last appearance was just last week, day before her vocal cord procedure, complicating from that that ultimately led to her death after a week in the coma. I like her, i did. She was foul. Philadelphia police are investigating a gruesome discovery, two men shot and killed inside a crescentville home. Detectives were hazmat, 500 block of allen grove street because they say that home was infested with bed bugs. Relative arrived at the home this morning and found one man shot several times, and second man was also shot, and beat when a hammer. So far police have not made in a rest. Suspect hit and run fleeing police, and, chopper three over the scene at mechanicsville road and street road in bensalem. After that crash Police Say Suspect ran away but was later arrested. Three on your side Health ReporterStephanie Stahl has tea tails on a new report about obesity in the area. Reporter that is right it covers the entire country and our area. Well, obesity rates across the the country are still way too high but starting to level off a little. New nationwide report card found a positive trend in philadelphia and discouraging news in two nearby states. People in delaware and new jersey are tipping the scales in the wrong direction, according to the new state of of obesity report. They are among six states where people are putting on weight. Obesity increase in new jersey is up significantly, to 26 percent. These are numbers that are troubling when we think about ultimate health and wellbeing. Reporter jenny earllick with Robert Wood Foundation who did the report with the trust for americas health. It found that overall obesity rates across the the country are starting to stabilize, except in a few states, including delaware. It ranks ten in overall rates of hypertension and diabetes. So, were seeing the Disease Burden really take hold in delaware. Reporter report also found obesity rates were highs monk African Americans and latin os and people between the age of 45 and 64. And while a third of the nations children are still overweight, rates are beginning to slow down. We are seeing bright spots across the country and philadelphia is really leading the way. We know that philadelphia, has seen a 4. 7 percent reduction in child obesity rates. Reporter School Programs that encourage Healthy Eating and activities get some credit along with the growing availability of produce in Neighborhood Grocery stores. More than 600 food outlets across philadelphia now have fresh foods available. Reporter obesity report also said that people who are poor, and live in the south or more than likely to struggle with their weight. You might wand shore did well in this report . Where are the skinny people . Colorado had lowest rate of obesity in the country. Report though overall says americans are still way too sedentary and eat too much junk. On saturday this front comes through here and that changes everything. It will be dropping humidity dramatically. High pressure is starting to move us a little bit away and bring up that southern heat so temperatures tomorrow will be warmer then today by a couple degrees. Saturday could be even warmer then that and it will definitely be much more humid, oppressive day on saturday. Until that cold front arrives to rescue us from this heat, temperatures will be in the 70s, by the time we will get into sunday afternoon. Lets time this out this changes all the time as we go in the shorter range we are finding a couple of showers, maybe scattered around the tomorrow afternoon and that will be also continuing at 5 00 oclock in some spots not every where certainly. By saturday i think especially later on in the day we have more general chances of picking up some of these showers and some have of them could get more organized.
