Been done. Also, speak to go neighbors again had the sides of their homes stripped, and then punctured, and roofs that that have caved in because of the trees that have dom come down. There are trues down in every yard that i can see right now, in the immediate area. Now, neighbors, again, bracing for yet another series of storms that could come through, and really complicate things here, as clean up continues. We spoke to one neighbor, though, who was in her car, driving through the storm, it caught her off guard, and she said the lightning was just striking all around her. Listen to what she had to say. Lightning striking all around us, everywhere, our whole drive home, we were literally in the eye of the storm. We were sitting at the intersection when the tree fell right off 561. Yes, so it was pretty scary. I was happy to get home and get out of the car. So many stories here, trees down on top of cars, and on top of roofs, and really, again, everywhere, the great thing that we can report is no injuries in this area after last nights storm. The National Weather service will be surveying the damage in this area later on this morning, and into the afternoon, and theyll determine whether or not this is Straight Line wind damage or if this is tornado damage. I can tell you it, matters little to the neighbors who now have to deal with the clean up in this area. It is the latest from voorhees, new jersey, steve patterson, cbs3, eyewitness news. Thats for sure, steve, thank you so much. And lightning also blamed on this house fire in the fox chase section of northeast philadelphia. So you might be getting little damp have, to flick the windshields wipers once or twice. Meantime, visibilities tell the story. Since we are in a lull, we still have the moisture to work with, and the winds is so light right now it is allowing lowlying cloud cover to settle in, in a place like reading, below mile visibility right now. So not horrible in most spots, but it is definitely not idea. Around the region as a whole, everybody, though, is in the threat for fresh rounds of Severe Weather. It looks like the time something very similar to yesterday. So we start off generally quiet for now, but eventually, sure enough, we get little bit of sunshine to get the instability going, more storms will ignite by later this afternoon and specially head toward sunset. Plus, a cbs3 exclusive. Mother who lost two children in a fire, and put her own life on the line to rescue three others. She talks about the horrifying events of that night. And bob and katie back with your traffic and weather together. Back at the bottom of the hour. Good morning. Crews at work restoring trees and power just about everywhere. Steve path err son joins us now in voorhees, new jersey, steve . Reporter yes, now that daylight has broke, a lot of the neighbors are starting to finally walk out, and look up, and see all of the damage, everywhere, and we are starting to see crews patching up holes, taking care of trees, getting those power lines up off the ground. One of them is with johnny clark. John . How is it going . Pretty good. So were you telling me, it was pretty rough coming. You started at 10 00 oclock . I got up here at 10 00 oclock, started assessing damages, weather conditions was really harsh, like pouring cats and dogs. Tell me what it was like driving through the storm . Couldnt see three neat in front every you. I was literally kissing the Steering Wheel to look at the roads. So tell me what it has been like in this neighborhood . Thankfully nobody injured . Nobody got hurt. A lot of property damage. Over here helping all of the residents like securing their homes, putting tarps up, you know, covering it with wood, and just pretty much securing so no road kent get in there, help them. Whats it look being like . Whats the worse thing youve seen so far in a home . The worse there is Corner Property behind us. Half the roof is missing. Other ones it is like the one, we have one across the street, tree hit the side end of it. It pushed in his wall like 6 inches, which we tapped that up, holes in the roof, patched them up. Pretty much. So you guys are just work, work, work, until it is all done . Work, work, working until it is all done. What have neighbors been saying, coming out, talking to you, and telling you about this . We need our roof done thats basically what everyone is coming running, oh, are you the guys fixing everything . Okay, can you come over to this house. So it is one job lead to go another to another. And say when Something Like this happens you work in conjunction with the tree cutters, tree cutlers take a tree off the roof then go and patch it up . Yes, local guys right here, sometimes theyll come up up, knock on the door, we dont care it, helps us more, too. When you have Something Like this, when do you expect to be out of smear. We cant tell you that. It is like i have no idea. Like one job might take us a hour, one job might take us five hours. So im here until it is finished. All right. John, thank you so much. We will find out whether or not there was Straight Lined wind or in fact a tornado, again, as weve been saying all morning it, doesnt make much difference to neighbors who have to deal with like this, back to you. 6 33, we want the latest on the storms coming our way, but it is fog this morning, right, were dealing with . Yes, do have couple of showers out there, not everybody is dealing with the fog. There are some locations where it is little thicker than others, bull little lull right now, a loft moisture to work with, seeing heavier lowlying cloud cover settling on in. But we start it off quick check, yes, one Little Pocket of showers out, there thats generally what you are going to find, for the most part, here for the next few hours. These Little Pockets that fire up, and man, when you walk out the door, it is so steamy outside. These dew points are already into the 70s, right now, the hire the dew point the steamier it feels. Good little synopsis how things time out today. Stayed quite steamy through the early afternoon, will likely be scattered shower, maybe rumble every thunder, but i think the strongest storm with very similar time to go yesterday, say 4 00 p. M. , seeing things ignite back through central pa, and right through the early evening rush, and even into the late evening. Those strong storms will continue to rumble on through. The same threats are with us here today, maybe even little bit of elevated hail threat for us, and we still cant rule out tornado. So, even though we had severe storms yesterday, the atmosphere is still ripe for more today. We can expect little sun, clouds to thick epp up as the day progresses more thunderstorms, so basically an all or rather region wide event. Everybody gets hit by it at some point. But it is mainly later on today. Bob, over to you. 6 35, on a tuesday, lots of going on here in the traffic center. Rolling out of the driveway, mixed bag depending upon where you begin and end your trip. Everything from wet roads, damp roads, little fog, we got some downed trees, some downed wires, some left over flooding. So, defensive tuesday here this morning. Live look at i95, southbound, not bad right here, roll in toward cottman, gets little tight down near girard. Live look at the benny. Here is the deal. Only three lanes are open into philadelphia all this week for the morning rush hour, the next phase of the construction, typically a four, so with three yesterday, we start today see jammo occur about 7 00, 7 15 or so, and that lasted through the rest of the morning, so if you are getting ready to leave the house right now, think about, watch the clock, again, with 6 36. You got about half hour before you beat that rush there, and we start to see the jams. So set of downed wires outside of villanova, lafayette road, at stoney lane, and phoenixville pike, a downed tree, right at 322, right before you get to the ramps for 202. Ukee, back over to you. Thank if you, bob. Exclusive interview with eyewitness news, mother who lost two children in southwest philadelphia fire is speaking out about the tragedy. Many benefits to getting good nights rest, but not always easy. Hard to do sometimes. Family physician doctor jennifer could the some here with some tips to get better nights sleep. Hey, doctor, good morning. So what constitutes good night sleep . Always sent efforts around eight hours . Youre right. Not magic number. Meaning everybody is a little different. The recommended amount of sleep we should be getting at night for adults is between seven to nine hours of sleep. Now, we have vacation, you might want to slope little longer, vacation sleep, work and school sheep, which can be dramatically different. Back and forth, can it hurt you . It actually can. Interesting on vai vacation cents and weekends, sometimes want to sleep little later, maybe stay up laterment actually those changes in sleep schedules can disrupt our sleep. It is best to be consistent with our sleep. That means, getting up at the same time and going to bed at the same time, no matter whether were on vacation or during our sort of normal work week because what that does it helps kind of confirm and set our internal clock. Really hence us sleep bet ever over the longterm. Would you recommend that for People Like Us . We get up at like 4 25 2 45 a. M. Even on vacation. Okay it, will sound little harsh but honestly probably best that you keep your consistent pattern. Dont be mad at me. I wont follow your advice, but i wont be mad at you. I keep it close. I get up around 4 30 or a. You deep close. Thats whats important. Because dramatic shifts real can i disrupt that internal clock. Good advice. What other dos and donts . Forgetting great night sleep, one of the first things consistency. We already talked about consistency. Keep the bed time schedules the same. Evaluate your room. Make sure your room is nice and cool, nice and dark, keen the light out. Also, avoid electronics in the room, very important. Eating and drinking, finish eating at least two, three hours before your bed time. Avoid caffeine and alcohol because it can actually disrupt your sleep. And also, the last hour before going to bed, make sure youre winding down. Read a book or do something relaxing. That can be helpful. And one thing thats not on the screen here, i want to mention, avoid naps specially for adults. Our kids need naps during the days but adult, look at your face. What, naps . Avoid naps .
