The Consumer ProductSafety Commission says theyre reenactments of actual accidents involving fireworks. The cbs says the number of accidents is increasing, eight people died in more than 11,000 were hurt last year, a roughly 30 jump from 2012. And, children are often the victim. Parents should tell their children not to play with fireworks, in particular, not to play with sparklers, sparklers burn at temperature of about 2,000 degrees, which is roughly the temperature of a blow torch. Some of the worse accidents happen when people buy banned fireworks on ones meant to be handled only by experts. As every now still no sign of the 14 year old boy, if you look here on the beach, we do have a rescue crews also patrolling the beach line, you can see, Police Officers here on the four wheels err, also have the Us Coast Guard helicopter who has done several we have new video this morning of some of the efforts, from as soon as the day broke, and they had that light on their side. Theyd been looking last night, and of course, at nighttime that made their search incredibly difficult. Now, ocean city Police Departmental letter dollars the coast guard of the missing swimmer shortly before 7 00 p. M. Yesterday. Last seen near ninth street. Teen swimming with friends at the time. Believed he may have been swept by rip currents. The others managed to make it back to shore, yesterday we did talk with a woman, who said she had seen boys playing on the rocks and called 911 after that. Did i talk with rescuers who had been retired now, but been on the force here in ocean city for 16 years. He said the rip currents right by these rocks is incredibly strong, and can rip you right out to sea, very quickly, and at the time there were no lifeguards on duty, we do know the lifeguard hours are posted and that the beaches closed or the ocean is closed excuse me when those lifeguards arent on duty. And they end their shift on sundays around 5 30, again, this boy, reported missing to the coast guard by police shortly before 7 00 p. M. So dangerous for anyone to be in the water out here without those lifeguards, and the retired rescuers that i had talked to said that it is incredibly dangerous, to be out here, without them, because of the rip rip currents which hes seen for number of years. There are search efforts underway, they are doing what they can finds this 14 year old, the latest from ocean city, Jen Bernstein, cbs3, Eyewitness News. All right, thank you. But other lawmakers support the white house argument, that Insurance Coverage for Birth Control must be included in health plans, and is critical to womens health. The owner has a right to his or her religious beliefs. But that doesnt mean you get to discriminate against women if women have different beliefs than what the owner has.
