We caught up with some of the people as they boarded buses around 2 00 a. M. , in center city. Now there is group plans to protest president elect Donald Trumps inauguration, then return to the area by 9 00 p. M. Tonight. Just one of several groups who left philadelphia early this morning, to make sure their opinions on new president are heard. We have the power. You know, the government doesnt have the power. And that we can hold the government accountable for what they do, especially, in light of the inauguration, the appointments, the cabinet appointments, and just the general feeling that the country will be run by a group of billionaires. And local demonstrations are set to kick off around noon, and continue throughout the day. Philadelphia police are suggesting you try avoid center city and take public transit, if possible. But for now, live from 30th street station, im trang do, cbs3, Eyewitness News, jim, jan, back to you. Thanks so much, trangment well, as the inauguration takes place in our nations capitol, the National Constitution center right here in philadelphia is giving visitors a chance to revisit some previous president ial history throughout the year. Eyewitness News Reporter pat gallen live at Constitution Center this morning with more on the events planned today. Hi, pat. Reporter good morning, guys. Is there a better place to be than old city philadelphia, independence mall, for basically it all started here in our country. Today huge day the 45th president of the United States will be inaugurated, donald trump, in washington, d. C. , but if youre here in philadelphia, and would you like to learn a little bit more about the history of the presidency, well, there is no better place to be, and no better person to talk to than jena. Hi, good morning. Good morning. So, talk about some of the things you guys are doing here today for the inauguration . Sure. Celebrating the history of inaugurations here. So we have history of inauguration, where you can learn about washingtons inauguration, jefferson, the president s, also a show that talks about article two of the constitution which lays out the executive branch so you can learn what they say about the president s job. Some fun art and crafts for kids to make, so it will be a lot of fun. Can you go a little deeper . I dont know anything about article two. What is this. Article two of the constitution lays out the executive branch, what the job is of the president , the command nerve chief, that he runs his job to enforce the laws, so has all of the cabinet secretary and things like that carry out the laws of article one, legislative branch passed. I was standing over at the podium. And there was something inscribed on the back of. That will george washington, obviously, very important american, had to do it. So what was it . Yes. So the president ial oath of office is written actually in the constitution. But there is one part that traditionally every president says that wasnt originally written there. And thats the under god. Interesting. Interesting. I hope im not a bad american, but you just taught me that january 20th is always the day. Because i asked is it always on a friday, but no, it is always january 20th. It is always january 20th, the dathan time of the inauguration is written into the constitution. It was originally in march, then moved to january. However, you know, it in it falls for a sunday they might move it to the 21. The president will take the oath on the 20th, but the parade will be on the 21. Interesting, so we learn so much here in about 90 seconds. But, we have a quiz thing going on here, as women. Thats kind of neat . One of the other fun activities we do, president fun fact about president s, things like that. Hit me with something. Obviously i need to work on my history. But i will try. Philadelphia, can you tell me the only president from pennsylvania . Can i. Thats james buchanon. Very good. One more for the people. It is inauguration, who was the first president to be inaugurated in washington, d. C. Well, lets throw that question to jim and jan . First president to be inaugurated in washington, d. C. . Was it adams . It was not adams. Actually thomas jefferson. Awe. Thomas jefferson. Were learning something new every day here on cbs3. I think adams was the first one to live in the white house . I believe . Was adams the first to live in the white house . Was the first to live in the white house. I knew somewhere. Guys, an encyclopedia here. And i love the National Constitution center. I have been there dozens every times. I think all visitors there, if you have not been there, make the trip. Why not today . Exactly. Well, a 91 year old salem county man will be attending todays president ial inauguration, keeping a live trip. Essay tending his 19th inauguration. His first was fdrs inauguration when he was just 15 years old. Even though he voted for democrat hillary clinton, he said he couldnt miss todays ceremonies inch august rating donald trump. I think hes different. He certainly has he is quite a character. And i pray that hell do a good job. Ninetyone, boy, he looks good. He has some genes there. Mr. Smick collected president s signature from washington, to president owe bamm, a looking forwards to adding donald trump to his collection. Good for him. Absolutely. Up next we go behind the scenes of one of the new movies coming out today. Im Kevin Frazier. Coming up, back in action, performing his own insane stunts, taking us behind the scenes for triple welcome back, vin diesel back on the big screen this weekend. Entertainment tonight Kevin Frazier takes us behind the scenes every triple x, return of xander cage. Vin diesel back doing his own stunts, from government agent taking us behind the scenes, for triple x return of xander cage. Yes, we wanted him back, vin diesel returns with more action from xander cage. From down a Jungle Mountain to riding a motorcycle on the ocean, and vin does them all himself. Literally i cant tell you how much fun i had preparing for the role of xander. This is like nothing ive ever done. Like im a little kid being able skateboard to work. Im being able to ride a motor cross to work. So, im out on the ocean practicing jumps on a jet ski. All of that is under the umbrella of work. Looking try to look dope while youre doing it. I could definitely make that work. And hes not alone in taking on the killer stunt. Was joined by some tough women including ruby roads, easily, kept up with the action veteran. That did team i can work with. If there is anything you can say about the women, they are soso they hold their own. The work that they put into it, you always see them bruised up. Because they were working g as hard as anybody to create the sequences. Guns, girls, double elimination. And the cage is back. For entertainment tonight im Kevin Frazier, now, back to you in the studio. And stay to up date with the latest news from hollywood. Watch entertainment tonight week night at 7 00 right here on cbs3. Local film maker m. Night shyamalon is back, his latest work flick is in theatres starring james mcvoy. Dont worry. Hes nothing else could touch you. Now we have to see the movie. Right . Obligated. So cool. That day ukee filmed that, i walked in the studio to do my weather thing and m. Night shyamalon was standing there, oh, no big deal, ukee just is in the movie, no big thing. Adding to his long list, right . Good weekend for movies . There will be several days where you will be taking in many movies, because we have a lot of rain in the forecast starting with today, and then if you dont like today, you are really not going to like monday. But storm scan3 showing us, were dry right now across the Delaware Valley. See the area of precipitation off to the south and west, moving off to the north and east, and that will be moving in, as we head into the second half of the day today. We do already have the moisture in place. We are seeing frost across portions of the area with our chillier start to this morning. And our cbs3 weather watchers are reporting some frosty conditions, especially, across portions of south jersey. So we check in with some of the Current Conditions right now. Temperatures, definitely, cooler than where we were at about 24 hours ago. Were generally in the upper 20s, and low 30s, according to our cbs3 weather watchers. So we check in right now, where it is 31 degrees. With our weather watcher phil, he caught a beautiful picture this morning, he has mostly clear sky conditions for right now. We will be clouding up pretty quickly over the next couple of hours. Most areas. But phil table capture this great image of the moon this morning. At about 5 30, it is in its waning phase, were getting little smaller after it was full. Also, quarter moon, so you can see just about half of it. It is called quarter moon. We check in with another picture right now, another weather watch err, we head out into jersey, 28 degrees in chesterfield, at eds house, also reporting mostly clear sky conditions. And he caught a cool photo. Actually chilly photo of some frost this morning, on his car. And he etched in cbs. We appreciate that designation. You might need the ice scrape they are morning, definitely neat the extra layers. Dealing with chillier conditions. We will be contending with the rainfall thats continuing to move toward the Delaware Valley, arriving in our area, as likely we head into midday. Continuing throughout the afternoon. Rain developing, increasing clouds, cool and damp at 46 degrees. Tonight, only dropping back to 41 degrees, maybe lingering shower. Otherwise, areas of fog that could greatly reduce visibilities in many areas, and then dealing with secondary system that arrives late day sunday, sunday night, monday, into monday night, as well. Much stronger storm system. It will track up along the coast, we do have potential for periods of heavy rain, during this time frame, accumulating up to two plus inches every rainfall through this event in some areas a the Delaware Valley. Gusty winds potentially to up about 50 Miles Per Hour particularly along the coast. And we could see the potential for some minor coastal flooding as well along the shore line specially on monday, when those winds are going to be the strongest. So, we are watching out for that storm system. Nice start to the weekends as we head into tomorrow, High Temperature at 55 degrees. Dry conditions, clouds around on saturday. Then that rain arrives as we head into the second half of the day on sunday, meisha, then the winds are going to be whipping sunday night. And into monday. Also youre also having parking restrictions between five a. M. And 2 00 p. M. So this is absolutely going to affect some things, some of us move around on saturday. Again, this is saturday, the other one, was today. Then route 102 trolley you are back to normal. Make sure to check the schedules on line. And also, we do have some lingering construction out there still. It should be clearing in the next ten, 15 minutes. This one in bellmawr. Soap, 47 delsea drive. Left lane blocked. It will be blocked until right around 6 00 a. M. For those every you in and around this area, heads up on that. Not that it is slowing you down right now, but certainly could.
