Says the bill would just pass first is now headed for City Council Vote f passed smoking would be outlawed starting in summer of 2018. Let me ask why are you doing it . Just seems to be the time to do it. Smoking has become a little less accepted. I think it is a good idea. That would be perfect for me. Awesome. Why is it awesome . Dont have to breath in other peoples smoke. Applies to anyone here on the wildwood boardwalk, but you can still smoke on the beach. Why enforce a law or enact a law you cant enforce, and the fact our beach is so big, would you have to put an army of Police Officers or inspectors down here. Taking a draw is already prohibited on certain sections of the wildwood boardwalk. But with the health concerns, and even some small trash fires from lit cigarettes . Our department goes on routinely on boardwalk fires, where theyre smoldering. The mayor says it is time to apply it across all 38 boardwalk blocks. And even some smokers agree. I wouldnt be happy about it, as an inconvenience to me, but for the board walk, maybe it would be a good thing. Now if final approval is granted for this smoking ban the city says theyll use the public address system along this boardwalk to inform everyone smoking is not allowed. Well, matt, it will be fun night regardless of the weather, but you know the pictures outside in front of the flowers, will they have to dodge some showers . Hopefully not, rain probably first half of the day. Later tonight taking all l of the prom pictures or headed out to any fun activities thon saturday evening, most likely going to be dry, but again, headed out early this morning, especially the philadelphia metro area, areas out toward the poconos, few stray showers, are a possibility. Take a look whats happening on the boardwalk though, the beach down in rehoboth. Waves are crashing, clouds are little bit out there. Forcing little sunshine, few folks have been walking down early this saturday morning. Theyve had the jack the on, probably looking at temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Across the southern shore point, whether delaware or down at the jersey shore early this morning. So if you do want to get out, enjoy this saturday morning, especially down along the coastline do, take the jacket with you. As i was talking about, few showers of showers a possibility this morning. Cooper temperatures, big theme for today. We were in the 90s yesterday, topped out 93 degrees, only going to be most likely in the sixs, through the afternoon hours, today, and dont expect a ton of sunshine, we will see some of it break through the cloud cover from time to time. But in general, we will be looking at more clouds than sun. Storm scan3, here it is, we have the cloud cover, sitting over top of the area. We do see little bit of precipitation now moving toward the reading area. Lancaster back into berks county, as the poconos, allentown, out toward bush kills falls, precipitation moved through, lit to moderate rainfall. This will be rounds two for folks up to the north of the city. As you head down further to the south, the jersey coastline, cape may county, cape may out toward atlantic sit had i more showers, there as women, maybe few rumble every thunder. That precipitation, that area of thunderstorm activity moving off the coast, south of dover, few light showers now fading out as they move toward the south jersey coastline, not too much happening just for the time being, but it will be maybe a little bit active, especially north of the city as we go through the morning hours, see by 9 00, allentown, reading, toward mount pocono light shower activity, back to south jersey still looking at the chance for maybe few light showers to move on through. Once we get to the afternoon and the evening, again, just that cloud cover for us, but generally dry conditions to our saturday night. Sunday, probably going to be our better of the two days this weekend. We will look for some more sunshine on sunday, maybe few high clouds still mixed in, but overall, dry day sunday, but then sunday night into monday, our next cold front comes on through, that will be bringing showers and maybe chances for thunderstorm as well. High of 68 degrees, cooler than it has been, again, mostly cloudy out there, as well. No real precipitation chances for us on sunday, mix of sun, clouds, in the afternoon, 67 degrees, the High Temperature tomorrow, so staying with that below average theme, as we get into monday we go with 77, so pretty seasonable, but thunderstorms likely as the colds front comes on through. Seventyfive with the sunshine, returning on tuesday, thats good news for us. Few more shower chance there is on wednesday, with once again mix of sun and clouds, we hold on, to that rain chance or thunderstorm chance all the way from thursday and friday of next week.
