Lauren joins with us your forecast, and, i guess were having a heat wave, yes. May heat wave, hard to believe, such a cool start to the month and then temperatures were like we will make up for this. So we will cool things off, and some of us are already getting cooled off by rain, then are storm activity moving through the area, getting a live look at center city fail we are seeing high cloud moving in our scene there and that is due to thunderstorm activity, and these are the thunderstorms, off to our south, ongoing right now. Temperatures, we are toasty once again. 92 degrees. S, we are toasty bit have the breeze out of the west at 18 miles an hour, dew points elevated to the 60 degree range. We got that steam factor and temperatures are hot, all across the area at this hour. Ninety in trenton. Ninetyone, no sea breeze in ac or wildwood. 87 degrees. Rain cooled air, 74 in wilmington. We have a cold front that is, up wind at this point but note that is big temperature gradient on the back side of the frontal boundary. Eighty in pittsburgh but 56 in cleveland. That front is coming through our way tonight and Cool Temperatures off as we head in the upcoming weekend. Look at these temperatures differences over last 24 hours on the back side of the strong frontal boundary. We are down 31 degrees in cleveland. We will experience that big change, and, taking a look at our live Neighborhood Network this heat is in Rehoboth Beach , people outside on the beach, a few friendly looking cloud but do keep an eye to the sky with this chance of thunderstorms working through the area in parts of the delaware, best chance of thunderstorm activity is in the city and points southward, we have had most instability where storm activity has been concentrated so far over last couple of hours and seeing these thunderstorms moving in new castle, and kent county, delaware, and, wind gusts maybe even pea sized hail with these cells that will, and, have a little bit of a shower, not a thunder shower but just a shower moving through beach haven and a couple people off the coast there. We do have Severe Weather they low but still present, marginal for much of the area in the next several hours as we will continue to see pop up thunderstorms and future weather will portray that in the next couple of hours, best chance for cell inspiring, philadelphia and southward. So across south jersey, parts of the delaware best chance to see storms over the next several hours. Overnight tonight things quiet down, it will change things a bet for saturday. We could see a passing sprinkle, Morning Cloud around and then breaks in the cloud as we head in the second half of the day. As we head into tomorrow evening those cloud clearing out and good sunday is shaping up but it will be a much, cooler start to the weekend, partly sunny, much less humid, High Temperature only at 72 degrees but nice element of the forecast is the drop in that steam factor, comfort index tomorrow what a difference, dew pointness fact will be down in the 40s. It will be feeling nice and comfortable but these temperatures might be a shock to the system after three days of 90s, only topping at 68 degrees in allentown. Only in the low to mid 60s along the coast with the east wind kicking in 67 degrees is your High Temperature tomorrow in wilmington. We are even cooler as we head into sunday High Temperature at 68 and chilly morning, 50 degrees, in the city so mostly in the suburbs we will be down in the 40s as we wake up sunday morning and then we will warm things up a bit with the better chance of showers and storms as we head in ton monday, tuesday looking good. His wife, huma aberdeen filed for divorce hours after today s hearing. Also tonight, President Trump head overseas leaving behind a political storm, at home. Good evening, everyone im ukee washington. Im jessica dean. Deputy attorney general briefed law makers in a classified hearing today. As a special prosecutor takes the rains in the investigation into russias interference in the election. Deputy attorney general rod reese evenstein arrived on capitol hill to brief house members on the president s decision to fire fbi director james comey. He add least implied that the memo, was part of the Decision Making processor the decision confirming process. Reporter rosenstein admitted that the president was going to fire comey regardless but still wrote a memo outlining reasons for his dismissal. He told lawmakers quote i wrote it, i believe it. I stand by it. Rosenstein shut down reports comey asked for more resource toss conduct the fbi investigation into Trump Campaign investigations with russia. He has no evidence that comey asked for further resources. Reporter lawmakers on both side agree that fbi director robert muhler is a good choice to lead the investigation. Muhler is a pro. Reporter bipartisan backing on the issue. It was great consensus that going after the russians for interfering with our election is a nonpartisan or bipartisan issue, one that both side need to get resolved before the next election. Reporter lawmakers say they will work with director muhler to ensure that congressional investigators will not interfere with the criminal investigation. And joining me now to discuss all of this is cbs news chief washington correspondent and hoe of face the nation John Dickerson, john, thanks for being with us. Sure thing, jessica, good to be with you. There is a lot of news breaking this afternoon. New york times said trump called the former fbi director jim comey a nut job and told the russian firing eased pressure on him and washington powe is saying it has identified a white house advisor as a significant person of interest, so im curious, your take on the status report in washington, right now, this afternoon. Well, is there even one more report from a newspaper says Deputy Attorney general rosenstein told members of the congress that yesterday and today that the investigation, now includes a third piece, which is the cover up piece and that would be based on, former director comeys report that President Trump had tried to get him to stop the investigation into michael flynn. So cover up is now a part of the investigation, and has been for several weeks, that puts comeys firing into an interesting new light. These are big revelations and they are not necessarily being knocked back by the white house, the one about a senior official in the white house being under investigation which we know from the post because members, senior members, of the congressional leadership have been briefed by the fbi, on that part of the investigation. The white house hasnt responded to that, but on these comments by the president , idea that the pressure was taken off when he fired james comey and that he told russians this first that kind of extraordinary to use language that he did with the russians about a former u. S. Official but secondly it add another piece of evidence for those who want to see obstruction of justice here because it suggests president in his own voice said pressure from the investigation was off as a result of his firing come y who was leading the investigation. That gets you a little further down the road on the question of whether the firing was done to impede investigation. So all this coming together as you all prepare for the show on sunday, what can we expect on sunday. Well, what we will really try to does talk to Dianne Finestein ranking democrat on the judiciary committee, and then we will also talk to marco rubio on the Intelligence Committee and what we want to do with our correspondent is here is separate what is kind of hysteria from what is real here. When people say talk about Something Like obstruction of justice what does that mean . Is that something robert muhler and his special counsel will be looking at . What will he be specifically looking for . There is a lot of talk that gets thrown around and we want to get as specific as possible about what is actually known and what is just speculation, and if we can do that we will be pretty happeny we will look forward to that. You are all so good getting to the facts and explaining everything, john, thanks very much and for more on all that we discussed, you can phase the nation, sunday morning at 10 30. Plenty to talk about right here on cbs3. Removal of the statue featuring confederate general robert e lee is underway in new orleans.
