Reporter good morning, police tell us a 41 year old mother nia parlor now in Montgomery County jail in maryland awaiting an extradition hearing scheduled for later on today. Now, up until this point she had been hospitalized, for an undisclosed reason. And thats whats been holding up this case. But take a look, this is her photo posted on facebook, this is nia parlor, seen here, she could face number of charges including attempted murder, assault, wreckless endangerment neglect, false impress on. When brought back to philadelphia, police say she left her 21 year old quadriplegic son in a wooded area of cobbs creek earlier this month to visit her boyfriend in maryland. Police say he had no idea what the woman had done. Investigators say parlors son suffered from Cerebral Palsy was found near walking trail under a blanket with just a bible. His wheelchair nearby. Police say he was in the woods for days, before he was discovered bypasser by, he was eventually taken to Childrens Hospital where he is being treated for dehydration animal nutrition. The family has been very cooperative, have been 100 percent cooperative, both the aunts who have cared for this kid throughout his life are at the hospital with him. Theyve been very helpful to us. I mean, they are just dealing with a horrible situation unfortunately, you know, were giving them the time to be with their loved one before we start the longterm investigation and the interviews.
