This weekend in linvilla orchards a make or peach festival will be happening. As i mentioned it is a warm sunny day right now. It is more humid then it was over the weekend. We have been enjoying a spell of cool weather. Take a look at this graphic. Temperatures were averaging about 10 degrees below normal. We didnt get out of the upper 70s and we had temperatures in the lower 80s for a stretch before that. Today is closer to normal but we are back to the lower average by end of the week and into the weekend. That said with all of the sunshine out here today and temperatures in the 80s it was a great day for folks to come out to linvilla orchards and pick their own peaches. Not own peaches but they have early summer apples, black berry, cherries, and you can pick them all here at linvilla orchards. Great place to take kids especially on a week day. I asked Norman Schultz the farm manager here at linvilla if the recent spell impact the growing season on the peaches. Lets take a listen. Winter was long and cold so everything started later then it had last few years and then for the last two weeks it has been cool at night, extra cold at night and we have had very few days above 90. Everyone is soaking up the sun in ocean city cape may county. This is view high atop music pier. If you are down the shore you will see it. Beautiful view of our beach necessary ocean city, new jersey. On storm scan three we are in the clear. No weather issues. Do you remember that frontal boundary stalled pushing inlands and providing clouds . Here it is still stalled off shore keeping clouds off shore for now. That is the good news. We have another front approaching well to the north and west, and that will write us our next chance of a shower or thunderstorm by mid week. But in between plenty of sunshine. Hundreds of miles of sunshine and, of course, that gays thing. Right now in philadelphia 84. Eightytwo allentown. Wilmington 83. Eightytwo in millville. Down short we are in the 70s. Zero sevens in State College and western new york but otherwise everyone in the 80s with plenty of sunshine just those fair weather clouds. Surface map shows stalled front off shore with the clouds approaching cold front and in between High Pressure that is going to pump up heat and humidity for our tuesday and off shore well off shore, hurricane bertha that will not be a player in our immediate weather but will impact shore points in some way. For your wednesday that front moves through bringing in some showers, thunderstorms. After that northerly winds and canadian influence will be moving in the delaware val which sunshine thursday, and temperatures in the 80s and lower humidity. That will be the the key. That type of weather will continue right in the weekend. Heres our tropical satellite and you can clearly see bertha right now maximum sustain wind at 75 miles an hour. Here is our stationary front. There is no doubt where this storm will go. Model consensus is outstanding, keeping it well out to sea keeping it curbing toward the northeast. That stationary front that has given us trouble will help keep this storm well away from the delaware valley. We will have a risk down the shore. If you are down there on vacation rip current risk will increase for your tuesday and for your wednesday so never swim, when the the beaches are not guarded and Pay Attention to those flags. If the red flags go up, we have to obey, the rules. Tonight partly cloudy and mild. Low temperature is 67. During the day on tuesday, mostly sunny high of 90.
