That will help temperatures tumble very quickly, come tomorrow morning. Temperatures only in the 70s, right now, and storm scan3, we still do have the clouds cover with the exception of central and southern delaware, and southern parts of cape may county. This is associated with the warm air, that really warmed us up during the morning, with all of that sunshine, and the colder air aloft, creating instability in the atmosphere, thus some clouds. Right now along the i95 corridor, temperatures in the 70s, same to the south and east, going farther to the north and east, 60s in the poconos, lancaster, whats coming tonight. Seventyseven in ocean sit which mostly cloudy sky, stone harbor, 75. Cape may some morning sun. Some afternoon clouds. And beginning to clear out a little bit from the south to the north this evening. Now, cool for july, indeed. When temperatures were only in the 70s, and were used to temperatures well to the 80s in time of year. It will be mostly sunny for wednesday, as with temperatures inch up, but still below average. But the drop vicks been quiet. Meteorologist, kate bilo, has more on some of the reasons why. Since arthur on the fourth every july, we havent heard much from the tropics. Now have area of disturbed weather that were keeping very close eye on, a wave that came off the coast of africa, and has pretty good chance of becoming tropical depression number three, and eventually, most likely, Tropical Storm bertha. The second named storm of our 2014 atlantic Hurricane Season. Pretty quiet season so far. Bertha will have some problems as the storm continues to move further to the west. The system will be encountering an area of some pretty intense winds shears, continues to move to the west, but water temperatures are warm, so warm water, again, leads to storm development. But the shear could threaten to tear this system apart. So it has got to get through that, possibly diverting north of that area of intense wind shear. Also, seeing a lot of dry air over portions of the open central atlantic here, a lot of this as dust that could try to work its way into the disturbance, that is continues to move eastward, perhaps, try to rip it apart before it even gets going. As of right now, appears that even if this storm does become bertha, will probably divert again through two areas of shear, and head up perhaps closer to bermuda a but does not look like any sort of imminent threat to the continental United States at least. So quick look at why the season has been so quiet. We have a developing he will nenna, still into neutral right now. He will nenna will be developing over the next couple of months. A loft winds shear like we talked about over the atlantic, persistent trade winds, cooler Atlantic Ocean temperatures, slowest start to Hurricane Season in recent memory.
