It is friday, april 10th, good morning, im ukee washington. Im i erika von tiehl. Will the storms affect nuts. Absolutely, but thankfully no where near as severe as we saw in the picture. Looking at the entire picture you have the classic comma shape going on right now the line of storms just extending anywhere from the Canadian Border all the way down, at this point even still into texas. This is what is moving through for us a lot more organization with the look of this now. So heres thousand sort of shakes out. You have the storm center up here, then your warmfront remember the stationary front that we have been dealing with the last couple days, thats lifting back up as a warmfront. The train cold front and the cold front really that setting up the clash in the atmosphere and the reason, in essence, that weve had so much Severe Weather. Meanwhile here, actually had our fair share of couple of thunderstorm now a sell moving through Cumberland County t may have woke inch you up, but primarily scattered showers this morning, as well as some areas of fog break midday, and then it renewed potential for some stronger gustier thunderstorms, the risk area has been been more downgrade worse Severe Weather issues will likely to be our south. But close enough that we are at least still in a marginal risk zone for downpours strong gusts definitely freak went lightning. So meantime, patchy fog showers, couple of rumbles every thunder midday, some sunshine, awe laws the temperatures to surge, then later this afternoon and evening, prime time for the rush hour, it is about the time that were going to likely see the worse of any Stormy Weather rumbling on through here, currently we stand in the low 40s, 30s kim of spots but off to cool start for sure, but you know, does get warmer. Warmth off to the south nashville, Atlanta Birmingham location will be basically on par with what we ends one later today. So we are expecting the mid 70s, by about 3 00 p. M. Seven; im pegging the high to hit about 73 before it is all said and done, again also about the time that the Stormy Weather is advancing. Vittoria, good morning. Good morning, katie good morning, everyone, traveling out and about on the majors, still pretty nice with the exception, women, it will be foggy, and it will be wet. That means that things will get even slower for the return hour. But as of right now considering it is only 4 33, we usually dont have too much volume. It is pretty nice, looking at the ben franklin bridge, again, foggy shot here, you can she in the cameras, no delays in either direction all of the bridges are moving fantastic. And same thing for the schuylkill expressway, if you are traveling on 76, i do want to caution you, however, that it is very slick. Cbs philly team upped with the Philadelphia Association of black journalists who host forum for the candidatement i helped moderate the forum at the Community College of philadelphia. Some of the conversations centered around funding and the School Reform commission. Beautiful weekend ahead. Pretty big hurdle here to get there. Temperatures are surge, though there is afternoon will feel totally different too. Last two days have been so chilly. I know. Get better. I promise you. Maybe not quite as much sunlight as we would like to see, but well warm up. That is going for us. A lot of variety going on with the forecast today essentially you have two fronts crossing through warm and cold front that means you get whole mixed bag of different stuff going on. Let me walk you through how things will shake out here. First and for most, out on the radar, weaver even couple of thunderstorms, right now most of which has since moved off shore. But one little cell moving in through southcentral new jersey also got batch here, some steadier rain rolling through, basically the i80 corridor poconos sort every stuck between the two batches of wet weather here, everywhere else here in the delaware valley, meanwhile here is the combination of the next front. Thats going to start to make its arrival here for us, come this afternoon. So how this all works out . Showers, and fog this morning, break for little bit of sun this afternoon and then this line needs to cross through. Now, we do expect that there is at least a potential for some stronger thunderstorms. Some of which could even turn locally severe, depending on if the criteria is met. I think generally speaking talking delaware state and southern most new jersey, for the prime location for that to happen. So, those are the spots that we want you to be on stand by, and on guard. If you hear thunder you always want to head inside anyway. Some of the storms could definitely pacca gusto. So brief downpours again potential for some of these to turn locally severe. Biggest threat would be small size hail and the gusty wind. So just secure your loose object, have the trash can in the garage that kind of thing before, you know you head indoors. Meanwhile 2. 5mile visibility is the current at Philadelphia International airport. Very lowlying cloud cover. Some of this is obviously low to the ground, as well, so watch for that, areas of fog showers, this morning then afternoon or evening thunderstorm, which could be locally strong. Then eventually skies start to clear overnight. And it is all looking good. We wipe our hand clean of this system. It really end up with a couple of nice days. Katie weather wise is there end in site soon . Eventually, yes. Weekend shaping up to be just awesome right now. Vittoria, we have to get through today. You know, there is at least nice pay back that comes with today. The fact that temperatures will be surging so weve had some very not just dreary but chilly days, the last two our normal high on this particular day of the year should at least be in the low 60s but we didnt even break out of the mid 40s, let alone the 40s, the last two days. So, this is going to be a noticeable difference for up, but it does come with a price the fact that we climb to the 70s today for one thing, you have warmfront essentially lifting through right now so you will have some fog even now couple of pockets of thunderstorms rumbling through, very scattered nature of these showers, that were finding out there this morning, but later today a line of thunderstorms will rumble through. They could be locally strong if not locally gusty, severe through delaware and south most new jersey, all looks good, by this weekend ukee . Katie, thank you. Now, that same storm system is headed our way today it, will make a stormy afternoon for you here. It is friday, april 10th, good morning everyone, im ukee washington. Im erika von tiehl. Katie tracking the stormy start to the weekend. Guys, thats right. Thats the same system headed our way here, already, in fact weve soon some thunderstorms rumbling through, not from the cold front, which was really what led to the outbreak of Severe Weather yesterday, but rather, the fact that now were starting to see little hint of wind shift flow right now thats going to allow that stationary front semi stationary front thats been plaguing us with chilly weather the last two days, to lift north our wind flow shift southwest, and that means, we start to surge on the they are mom term. So for now, you have got scattered variety of not just showers, but even couple every rumbles every thunder and lightning being reported currently across western atlantic county, that will be sort of the running theme throughout the morning here, also areas of fog also got some steadier rain pockets up across the i80 corridor. Thats just going to clip the folks living up in the poconos, renewed threat for Severe Weather. Right on the edge of where the brunt of really Stormy Weather will be, so, namely, southern most new jersey, state of delaware, thats where i think you have got the best potential for this stronger and more gusty storms that will likely erupt this afternoon and evening. Thats not to say you wont see downpour or gusty wind in philadelphia. Just this will be the zone basically, thats most ripe for that casino of activity today. But no tornado activity expected for us. Thats good news, 42 degrees currently in ac as well as in philadelphia and very quick check for you on your eyewitness weather regional forecast. Kind of same story across the board. Everybody sees a surge on the they are mom term, but
