An investigation is underway this morning, to what started a huge fire in allentown last night. The flames ripped through several homes, leaving some residents with no place to stay. Reporter good morning, jan, greg, this fire so massive, firefighters still here on scene checking out hot spots, from nine hours after it started. Take a look, fire here, mostly out, you can see, the row of heavily damaged row homes particularly the ones there in the middle. Now, firefighters do expect to remain out here until at least dawn. The most important thing, though, is that everyone got out safely. Now, take a look at these massive flames, captured by chopper three overnight. The fire started just before 8 00 p. M. At home on the 400 block of fulton street allentown, quickly spread to five other homes on the block. At one point every firetruck in the city was used to fight this fire as it rose to three alarms. In dicks to the homes damaged by fire, two other homes sustained smoke and water damage here on this block. Now, in all, 23 people are displaced from this fire. Fire crews there arrive to large flames coming from the second floor row home. The fire broke out around 8 30, and crews put it out within an hour, were told 44 year old man was found dead inside. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. And, more sad news this morning following fatal fire in wilmington, from back in september. A third firefighter has died from her injuries. Artist hope badly burned while trying to put out the fire on lakeview road. Died when the floor clapped and trapped in the burning hold. Daughter of the homeowner accused of setting this fire, already charged with two count of murder. Major break in the investigation into a package explosion in center city.
