Investigators want to question the man who was controlling the train. Thats that smashed through a barrier. The witnesses say it was traveling well above the 10mile per hour speed limit. Historic Hoboken Terminal building remains close today commuters this morning, as federal investigators work to recover an event recorder, from the mangled new Jersey Transit train inside. Yep, kind of scary. Ntsb investigators are questioning the trains engineer, as they try to figure out just what went wrong. The engineer Thomas Gallagher was injured in the accident. But released from the hospital yesterday. The 48 year old had close to 20 years of experience as an engineer. He just loved, i should say, he loves his job, or just so sad, so sad. Officials will also be looking at whether positive train control could have prevented the incident. The automatic braking system deploys when trains run above the speed limit but had not yet been installed on the tracks.
