Good afternoon, a lot of movement out here at the scene, just been the last ten minutes, theyve brought in a pump, to begin pumping cement down this hole. Theyve also been able to connect a winch system, for truck that all morning long has been dangling precariously above this hole. Im going to step out, give you live look from the ground, as crews just been the last five minute began to use this pump system to get the cement down into the hole. That is in attempt to basically stabilize the ground. All around this large sinkhole. Lets take you live, up in the air, give you the shot from chopper three. So you can really get a better sense of the scope and really the magnitude of the size of this hole. It really comes so close to a house here in the 700 block of brooke road, now. The first sign of trouble for people out here this morning, was that they had no water. That was around 4 00 in the morning, and of course, as you suggest, that was only the beginning of trouble for folks along brooke road. Utility crews arrived here and found this giant sinkhole, aqua pennsylvania tells cbs3 about 60 to 65 people have no water at this time. What theyre trying to do right now is to table eyes this massive hole. They did hear allowed noise this morning. She said sounded almost like an explosion. Thats what woke them up. Once we begin to pump concrete into the hole, we will get a sense of how deep it is, how big it is, and how quickly we can start to stabilize this even more. But as soon as they begin to stabilize the hole with the cement, that is when they believe they will be able to determine how all of this happened. Dont have to worry as much about flooding at that point. But yes, errosion here, looks like one of the crews is actually out right now trying to handle some of that and do some clean up out here in ocean city. Lets take you much further inland, going to the live neighborhood network, outside the baseball diamond, in burn ville, certainly the skies have cleared out nicely, just looks kind of damp out there. But, yes, going to be sort of muddy for you here the rest of the day. We had so much rain come through. 46 degrees at this point of the year, we will take it, then northwest breeze, thats very marginal, with 10 Miles Per Hour at this point. Taking a look at some of the doppler estimate, yes, sweet spot pretty much ocean, Monmouth County when it came to the rainfall in the last two days here, but you will see a very noticeable, de mark case line, here, where one to locally up to 2 inches plus worth of rain, that fell, and these are doppler estimates, did actually get the actual numbers in, but shows you just where the moisture was spilling in around the storm system as it rotated away. And it is still out there. But thankfully, were pretty much out of the cross hairs of it at this point. As it pulls away, too, the course of the winds will have chance to ease up, you tend to see the wind tunnel effect between areas of low pressure, High Pressure tries to come in, get the wind tunnel inbetween the two. Thats where it is coming from. But it is easing up. Yes, it is another storm. All right, starting to build across eye with a, wisconsin, snow squawl over the area. We will get the cold front associated with the system. It is nothing like the storm we just saw. But it is going to knock our temperatures down. What you will notice happen here, purple, pinks, begin to show up on the color contour map. This is just the jet stream. Carving out a trough, storm comes through, cold front comes through. What have you. It helps to bring that cold air in. Ushering in our region, knocking temperatures back, getting very, very spoiled today mid 50s, even tomorrow, once we see the cold come in, a dose of reality, like january. It will be what we expect to see. Youll see. Meantime lets look at future weather walking you forward here, see the rest of the day, sunny skies, will see clouds build in later tonight.
