Tractortrailer overturns, spilling it load and causing another back up. Good afternoon, im natasha brown, book is off. Im jim donovan. Tough drive for drivers through delaware, spelling trouble for morning commuters t took forever to clean up the blank pennies. Alex dina hoff live in new castle where some traffic is getting by right now. In less than mint condition, the commute, it is ten hours, since this accident occurred. Still, one lane, as you can see past me getting by down here, clean up efforts, continue, now, this happened, this as i mentioned, this crash happened just before 2 00 a. M. Near i95 north, where it meets 295. A tractortrailer caring un stamped blank pennies lost control and overturned. Now the driver injuries, no one else, injured. But thousands of little copper waivers were sent flying over the highway, so thats been taking forever to clean up. But they do certainly have to. And ill explain why that is in a moment. Quick look from overhead, from chopper three, if you are able to see that, this shows you the extent of this traffic back up, once again, has been going on for ten hours now. So, they are cleaning up with what theyre using is essentially vacuum to suck up these little un stamped pennies, and trying to load them up. They also have some debris theyre cleaning up, as well. So once again, i95 north, near the 295 split. Thats still shut off. Only down to one lane getting through, very slow going, if there is another route you can take at this time i highly advise that, we are not sure how much longer that is going to last, now, as for these un stamped pennies, not even technically pennies that the point. But there is tens of thousands being carried, and the interesting thing about that is when they are un stamped theyre actually worth double itself. So about two sent possibly even four sent. So, important for them to get those un stamped copper waive ers, and get them to where ever they need to go. Did i not get this confirmed, where they were going, but there is a mint in philadelphia. Reporting live from i95, im alex tree a hoff. Alex, thank you so much for that update. Also in newark, delaware, about 7 miles south from that earlier wreck on 95 is this crash involving a tractortrailer and an overturned van. Only one lane is getting by here, causing traffic to get backed up for miles and miles. The crash happened about 10 30 this morning on southbound i95, near chapel street. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. And, chopper three over another crash, and a big backup. This one happened on the westbound side of the walt whitman bridge, about 8 45 this morning. No one was hurt, but the crash jammed up traffic for a few hours, or so, until crews could finally clear the scene. The westbound direction is finally back open this this noon.
