Hairline crack, this is why septa yanked 120 silver liner trains from service. This is suspension, if there is a crack in it, cant handle the load constantly put on it, over time. Overbrook maintenance facility, where dozens of silver liner five trains are being work on. The cracks were discovered july 1st, after inspector noticed the train was leaning. On this called the equalizer beam, piece was integral part of the trains suspension system. Since the discovery, Transit Authority has been unable to come up with why this happened. We also have sent the sample whatever broke, back to the lab, so where they can understanded. Meanwhile, ride kearse expect continued delays on Regional Rail lines, for a thirds of the fleet out of service, the agency has turned to other carriers to evaluate. Trains, new jersey transit, amtrak, are in service, and help pick up the slack. One thing is clear, from this, the cracks dont jump out at you. Currently we showed this earlier, as women, couple of thunderstorms starting to fire, just west of the pocono region, if you are traveling i95 i80 a, might be running into that, risk in the poconos, Northampton County do sit in lower risk for stronger storms, further south you go. The heaviest thunderstorms could produce downpours, gusty wind, possible hail. Need to keep eye on the radar, i would say three, five, 6 00 p. M. , about the time well see line of showers and storms rumbling on in. Meantime great way to beat the heat. Head on down to the beaches here, outside boardwalk plaza, hundreds of umbrellas outlining the beaches at the moment.
