Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Kane entered the courthouse. What what she did while she was the attorney jernl, the fact that she would commit criminal acts while shes the top prosecutor is a disgrace. Reporter Montgomery County prosecutor say kane deliberately leaked information to get revenge against former state prosecutor. She did it after bad press during the weeklong trial, kane never took the stand but Text Messages and emails were introduced in court. Her defense team argued that the charges should be thrown out. Ultimately the jurors disagreed and found kane guilty. Over the course of time, the rulings by various courts, weve been denied the opportunity to mount a full defense, but we firmly believe that they day will come. Reporter prosecutors from bucks county and Montgomery County worked on this case. The big question, what is next for Kathleen Kane . Well, she has a sentencing sometime within the next 90 days behind me here at Montgomery County courthouse, but will she resign, as of tonight theres no indication she will do so. Its not just about bringing a bolt of water out on your run, but also the day before, two days before, if youve got a big race coming up, make sure youre staying hydrated. Norman bowen is expected to be charged tomorrow. Police say he and Anthony Campbell have been targeting asian businesses with homes above their shops. They have reportedly struck 12 times since may. Philadelphia Police Say Three more Day Care Centers were barring larized over the weekend. Just last week a suspect had broken into nine Day Care Centers now bringing the total number burglarized to 12. Police believe the breakins happened after hours and the suspects gained entry in the rear of the properties. The suspect usually gets akwa with electronics or money. There iss new information tonight in the murdersuicide that left a family of five dead in berks county. Investigators say mark short shot his wife and three children and then killed himself on august 6th. People say the couple was having marital problems and mark short had recently been demoted at work. On july 18th Police Responded to a domestic dispute at that home. Megan short told 911 she was afraid of her husband. The Police Department at that time did advise megan short how to get a protection for abuse order but she chose not to. Investigators also revealed mark short took the children to hershey park the day before the shooting. The Death Penalty will no longer be an option in delaware. On august 2nd the state Supreme Court ruled the law is unconstitutional. Today the attorney general announced he will not appeal that decision. As for those already sentenced to die the attorney general says he believes the ruling cannot be applied retro actively to the 13 men currently on death row. Bill cosby is dealt another legal below. The sergeant of the National Guard took cbs news on a search and rescue mission in the flood zone. A lot of People Choose to stay until the power goes off. Reporter the National Guard helped pull more than 7,600 people from the flood waters. At least water. Leaving her home was difficult but she had no other choice. We woke up and it was just unbelievable the water we had in the yard and i really didnt want to leave my home. I wanted to stay at home but i couldnt put my life as well as my sons life in danger. Reporter Maryellen Morgan and her family were rescued just before the water overtook their home. They used their boat to rescue over 175 people. Theyre thankful that somebody is there to help them. 500 red cross volunteers are on their way to help residents. This is the largest u. S. Disaster response since hurricane sandy. Firefighters in Northern California continue to battle raging wildfires. This fastmoving wildfire has already destroyed at least 2,000 homes and it continues to burn out of control. More than 1,000 fire personnel are battling the wildfire that has already skoichd 3,000 acres. 1,500 homes are now threatened by the flames. It is allhandsondeck in florida as zika continues to spread in the miami area. Officials have enlisted the help of commercial Pest Control Companies in the fight to stop mosquitos from spreading that virus. 30 people have been infected. Officials say the extra help will ensure Miamidade County has every possible tool to fight zika. For residents in a camden neighborhood, their access has been cut off for decades. This one section of land will soon become kramer hill nature preserve. Camden recently secured funding to clean up the 35 acre section of land once home to a Sewage Treatment plant that was torn down in 1991. Contaminated soil will be removed. Turn lemons into lemonade and give the Community Access to the riverfront and also protect the 35 acre wetland tract in an area like camden. Another round of storms begins to form to the west and around 6 00, 7 00, a line of scattered but locally strong storms could impact philadelphia and nearby suburbs and clear out by about 9 00 p. M.
