The rain is letting up, hopefully now, but the storm system still lingering in part of our area. Good evening, im natasha brown. Thank you for joining us, these storms rolled in this afternoon, didnt let up four hours in some part of the region. Right over to meteorologist, lauren casey, to find out what the next few hours is throughout the night we can expect. Lauren . Thanks, natasha. Did have rainfall moving in, heavy, stead any nature specially across parts of Mercer County check out the rainfall total from princeton, nearly 6 inches every rainfall, bulk fell in just few hours time, earlier this evening, leading to that flashflooding that was widespread across parts of the area. Bethlehem picking up 2 inches every rainfall over inch in reading and Kennett Square coming in with inch of rainfall today. FlashFlood Warning has been expired, but has been replaced when Flood Warning in effect formatter of Mercer County, princeton is included as well as west Windsor Township where we did have state of emergency in place earlier because of the flashflooding but the good news is storm scan3, much quieter conditions, even over the last hour, the rain really starting to taper off. And now, drying conditions across parts of Mercer County with no rain falling in these areas, and that certainly is good news, as rivers and creeks are rising, in that area, across parts of delaware, still seeing the steady rain across New Castle County, also, kent county, seeing some rain moving in, now rumbles of thunder, as well, Center City Philadelphia into delco, still dealing with some steady light rainfall that will continue for about the next 45 minutes, to an hour, and the shore, like no problems, today, the rain trying to stretch its way eastbound, not having much success doing so. But this rain off to the west will eventually move it way eastbound as we head into the next couple of hours, over night tonight, what to expect . That lingering rain seeing on storm scan3 right now, will move its way east, casino every broke never nature. Heaviest rain south across parts of delaware, we will see areas of rain try to work its way into the shore over the next couple of hours, then we will see some thunderstorms redevelop as we head late tonight, into early tomorrow morning. Once i realized it was the water, i just pulled off the road. Kept First Responders and tow Truck Drivers busy. It was just like one after another. Were on police call, so were just pulling people out of the water, getting them to high ground. Andrew griffin and his wife jody took matters into their own hands, and feet, wading through as much as 2 feet of water on alex and err road. Water coming from the east side of the station underneath and all the way down through the parking lot, down vaughn road, into alexander here, since that trying to figure out a way to connect with my wife. Well, hot air balloon meantime caring 16 passengers clashes in central texas, the balloon caught fire and crashed into a pasture, cbs news correspondent Omar Villafranca report. Reporter investigators surveyed a gruesome scene saturday morning. What was left after hot air balloon loaded with passengers caught fire and plunged to the earth. A woman who lives nearby saw the aftermath from her front porch. I heard one pop before i stepped out the door. Then heard another pop, looking around to see who is shooting because it sounded like a gun going off. And then i looked off over there, and the next thing i knew you saw big fireball go up. Margaret while i said she often sees hot air balloons flying in the area and that the same Company Involved in the accident identified as heart of texas hot air balloon rides had what she called close call in a neighbors field about a year and a half ago, she said it was foggy early in the morning, but that the haze had mostly cleared. She believes the popping noises she heard, were the balloon hitting high voltage lines above the crash scene. The way it went up, i dont think any of them even had any idea what was going on. Five delaware teenagers are now facing felony charges, for allegedly breaking into a Sporting Goods store, and stealing 27 handguns, police say the teens smashed their way into outfitters on kenneth pike in greenville during the Early Morning hours of july 22, police were able to link the stolen guns, to the five teenage suspect, because after shooting that happened just a day later in wilmington. It is still not clear tonight if all of the weapons have actually been recovered. Also, a woman is recovering after she is struck by a stray bullet inside her own home. It happened on the 700 block of east willard street. Eyewitnesses say the bullet that struck the woman came through a window from a house across the street. Police say the bullet ricocheted off her wall, and his her in the head. The woman was rushed to the hospital where she is currently stable. The Investigation Continues into shooting involving two new jersey state troopers, last night, two troopers responded to 911 calls in a 300 block every center ton road in upper deerfield township. Police say a male fired shots at the trooper from inside a home. Both troopers returned fire, hitting the man multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is list in the critical but stable condition. One of the troopers meantime was grazed although it is unclear if it was due to gunfire or shattered glass. And now we are lurk that road rage is likely what sparked a phony traffic stop in Montgomery County as Police Question a man for allegedly impersonate ago officer. This white van started flashing police style light while stopping a car near church and brent roads in orland on tuesday. The license plate for the van was registered to Charles Grossman of whitemarsh township, he is being called a person of interest at this point. Flames broke out on the 2800 block of hail thorpe street at around 3 15 this morning. Police say the child is between three and four years old, and Social Security treated for minor injuries. The fire was contained in a third floor kitchen. It is still not clear how it started, but no other injuries were reported. And flashflood safety, the flashflood threat has come to an end, but you always have to remember never drive into flooded roadway, can knock over an adult, we did have this situation in Mercer County today, just 12 inches of water, just foot is needed to float most vehicles, so whenever you see flooded out roadways, turn around, dont drown. Dont go behind any barriers, always dangerous, rain chances, pretty high for tomorrow.
