Reporter well ukee and jessica there are protests continuing on over at city hall right now. Those would be beyond the itinerary of todays march. Citys march was led by clergy members visit the in town for the international ame church convention. God, were tired. Reporter it was less of a protest than collective prayer that began at 12th and arch. We pray that our march will represent our protest and represent the fact that we are the people are tired and we cant take it any more. Yes. Reporter around 6 30 hundreds began to walk. Call to action prompted by two Deadly Police shootings this week in other parts of the country. It was a different scene than yesterdays protests throughout the city which prompted Police Action and blocked traffic. But the message was the same. We of a policy agenda. We are people of faith. Reporter this march was of both unity and outrage. I am out here today because im upset. Reporter the crowd made stops throughout center city. No justice, no piece there is freedom no racist police. Reporter before bringing their message full circle. Inside the arch Street United Methodist Church its a plea heard by Police Commissioner richard ross. Theres work to be done in law enforcement. I think most leaders will tell you that. It is not an indictment of the men and women who proudly wear this uniform across the country much it just means you have to see things for what they are. Reporter what this was a peaceful demonstration of people seeking to have safe law enforcement. Jesus name we ask it all. Amen. Amen. Paul, minnesota large crowd gathered outside the school where ferlando castillo work as a cafeteria supervisor. President obama is weighing in the recent Deadly Police shooting. Nicole brewer takes a close look at both cases. We want to warn you the video youre about to see is graphic. Please dont tell me this lord, please, jesus dont tell me hes gone. On wednesday night, the final moments of ferlando castillos life were streamed live on facebook. We got pulled over for a busted taillight in the back. With castillo still by herd Diamond Reynolds told social media users a minnesota plea police shot her boyfriend. After telling police he was carrying a gun. The video goes on to show reynolds exiting the car then being handcuffed as her fouryearold daughter streams in the background. Police say they attempted to give castillo cpr but he later died. I wanted to put it op facebook and go viral so that the people could see it. Standing outside the govern governors residence thursday morning reynolds explained why she kept the cameras rolling. I wanted everybody in the world to see what the police do. And how they roll and its not right. Thats right. Its not acceptable. Reporter castillos death comes one day after another black man was fatally shot by police during a scuffle outside Louisiana Convenience store. It was all caught on camera. While attending a nato summit in war saw, pole land, president obama called the shooting deaths tragic and demanded the country do better. To be concerned about these issues is not political correctness. Its just being an american and wanting to live up to our best and highest ideals. Reporter president obama also used statistics to show that minorities are more likely to be pulled over, searched or shot at by police. Deep seeded biases he said must be rooted out. Nicole, thank you. Sad end to a water rescue in fishtown. A 16yearold who jumped into the Delaware River has died. Police say the teen went into the water near Delaware Avenue and b street around 5 00 oclock this evening. The marine unit recovered him about an hour later. He was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Its unclear why the boy was in the water but police say the Delaware River is not safe for recreational swimming. Bill cosby will face his accuser when his Sexual Assault case goes to trial. The comedian was in norristown courtroom this afternoon trying to get the case thrown out. His attorneys argued they should have been allowed to crossexamine his accuser former Temple University basketball coach Andrea Constand during his may preliminary hearing. The judge ruled prosecutors work within the law by using police statements as a stand in for her testimony. The District Attorney applauded the judges decision. Cosbys lawyers said they will appeal. The defense operated under a mistaken belief that they had a right to confront the victim at this stage. They do not. Today someone who has given so much to so many had his Constitutional Rights trampled upon once again. We are confident that our states highest court will right this wrong. And tonight authorities are sharing new details on the security plan in place for the tens of thousands coming to to town. Behind me is the place you want to be to so all of the action at the dnc if youre a delegate or an onlooker. Its 18 days out. We couldnt even get life in there tonight because security is high right now three weeks before this. Protesters will be about a couple of blocks away and officials just want both sides to cooperate. City officials are planning for a successful convention. For an event like the dnc and theres not a city in the country id rather be than the city of philadelphia. Reporter the United States secret Service Released this map to the public. It highlights a secure perimeter around the wells fargo sent. The site of the convention. Other streets around that area are impacted as well. But the dark area at the bottom of your screen is the secure zone. The map is a far cry from the one officials released for pope francis visit last september. That shut down most of the city. You cant compare obviously the papal visit to the Democratic National convention. Its much, you know,. More confined area. Its minimally impactful. I know it impacts some people generally minimally impactful on businesses, residents, traffic. Reporter officials also talked about the thousands of protesters theyre expecting. Freedom speech is what our country is founded upon and we should be able to protest with or without a perm. Reporter but tobias has a permit to protest during the d inform c he applied for one months ago. And plans to be at nearby fdr park just a few hundred yards from the epicenter at wells fargo. A hundred renewable power. Thats our goal. Were trying to push as well as a ban op fracking. Protesting is encourage according to authorities. They just want to keep it peaceful. Going to respect the constitution and everyones right to protest and i think the city and the Police Department as well as other entities done a pretty good job at demonstrating that, and trying to convey that to everyone involved. Tomorrow will be another hot and sticky morning commute for septa riders on packed Regional Rail trains. Delays and crowded trains have been the norm for commuters this week. While defective rail cars get emergency repairs. Some trains have biased crowderred platforms. Theyre also running slower because speed restrictions caused by the excessive heat. Surprise move uber and the Philadelphia Parking Authority make a deal to help travelers during the septa rail crunch and the dnc. Today the two sides put the brakes on their bitter regulatory battle and shook hands during a news conference. This deal allows the Ride Sharing Service to operate in the city legally for 90 days. Uber will pay the ppa to end several legal disputes. Uber must also monitor its drivers and responsible for background and insurance checks. We are making this exception to the law. We although hope were correct in doing it. We feel we are. Sometimes there is a need for people to come doing and make an exception. The Taxi Workers Alliance says this decision will hurt taxi drivers. They wanted the ppa to wait until pennsylvania law make passed statewide legislation legalizing ride sharing.
