We are learning more tonight about a threat against pope francis during his upcoming United States visit. A threat allegedly made ad made by a south jersey teenager. Police commissioner Charles Ramsay says he was alerted by the fbi last month that they had arrested the teen. Sources tell cbs3 he had allegedly gone online and according to cbs news was being urged to attack a visiting diplomat or the pope. While the teens actions online were illegal, the commissioner says there is no indication the threat was credible. My definition of what would be credible something that could be operationalized. Something that really is, you know, about to take place, that sort of thing, and unless im missing something i dont see this as having that level of significance where people should be concerned about it. The commissioner also emphasized that local and federal agencies are constantly monitoring social media as part of the tight security net surrounding the pope. And we are now getting a behind the scenes look at what will soon become the papal sta stage.
