Family and friends are pointer to go this video to question if Excessive Force was used while white was handcuffed. All his mom wants to know what happened wine it happened to her son the way it did . Nobody wants to get that phone call to have to bury they son. Sims has been friends with white for more than a decade. She says the father of three struggled with the use of pcp but that he didnt deserve to die. Initially he was being questioned by police in response to a Disorderly Conduct call on the 100 block of grape street. Reporter recorded scanner traffic indicates the officer believed white was trying to grab his Service Weapon during an altercation with police. An it witness told me white began freaking out when an officer asked if he needed medical assistance that white tried to kick the officer after banking on his patrol car. The officer obviously tackled him. And he was screaming he was reaching for his gun. They let the dog out. Eyewitness says the police k9 bit white during the scuffle. The Cumberland CountyProsecutors Office is investigateing and indicate that is while handcuffed and restrained white was placed in an Emergency Vehicle and that quote at some point during transport, white became unresponsive and cpr was instituted by medical personnel. White was pronounced dead at the hospital. Prosecutors here believe there could be more cell phone video out there of the incident and theyre urging anyone who has it to contact them immediately. The school released a statement just a short timeing a reading in part remedial actions have already been taken to assure there is no disruption to the educational environment of any students who may be affected. A manhunt is underway right now for a gunman who shot two teenagers in a busy neighborhood filled with kids. It happened at 25th and jefferson in north philadelphia. Brenda watkins lives a few doors down from the shooting shes lived in this neighborhood her entire life and says just seeing these bullet markers makes her think twice about her home and her granddaughter.
