Two philadelphia firefighter firefighters are recovering tonight after they suffered a shock on the job. One firefighter remains here tonight with third degree burns to his feet and hell be kept here at least overnight as hes been admitted into the burn unit. In a frightening turn a relatively minor fire became a Major Incident two philadelphia firefighters were shocked as they attempted to put away a 35foot aluminum ladder. The ladder hit a power line, seriously injuring robert taylor. A 14 year veteran. He went from holding the latter position to his body just straightened up and stiffened up and he fell right back. Reporter protective gear fell firefighter Eugene Colter a nine year veteran could be seen outside Temple University hospital where both firefighters were brought. Very frightening close call. I talk to both members and they said exactly the same thing. Routine fire. Taking down a ladder which they do on a daily basis and they both shocked. Reporter two men from ladder 14 were responding to a house fire on the 2400 block of norris street in north philadelphia where they were injured. The fire was limited to just the second floor and quickly brought under control before 10 00 oclock monday morning. Overhead weiss are always a safety concern. An instructor in the Fire Science Program at Montgomery County and Philadelphia County community colleges. Also as a former battalion chief in the Philadelphia Fire Department he contends firefighters have a few feet to work with in between homes and power lines when they are bringing down ladders. The search continues for a suspect after a stabbing on the campus of Lasalle University today. It happened just before 2 00 in a bathroom at the blue and gold dining commons. The campus was locked down for a short time. The victim is deliveryman for the jack and jill ice cream company. He is hospitalized but his wounds are not life threatening. Some breaking news. We have learned about allegations of Improper Conduct involving two Temple University football players. This reported happened at off campus location in january. Its unclear what the alleged Improper Conduct was but the University Says it is cooperating with police. The two students have been suspended from Football Team activities while that investigation continues. A Gloucester County teacher faces charges to night accuse of photographing students in what police call their private areas while in school. Police arrested 37yearold adam mayer of Washington Township friday. Mayer who teaches english at the Gloucester County institute of technology is now behind bars on thee hundred thousand dollars bail. Police are in the process of identifying all possible victims victims. We have learned tonight another student at a Montgomery County high school has whooping cough. That brings the number of cases at Souderton Area High School to two. The health depth has declared the school to be an outbreak status. Well start off with temperatures really mild at noon 62. After that cold front gusty winds out of the northwest will drive those temperatures down and the another afternoon in the 50s. By dinnertime in the 40s by the evening 38 degrees. And by midnight some 12 hours later, it will only be freezing so were talking about a 30degree temperature drop from noon to midnight. In just 12 hours. Heres look what will happen. Cold front moves on through. Lunch time temperatures in the 60s. Turn into temperatures in the 30s and 40s by the dinner hour. Winds gusting to 30 even 35 miles an hour gusts so it will be a blustery night. During the day on wednesday sunshine temperatures in the 40s 40s. Thursday the same. With morning lows in the 30s and the 20s really not feeling much like spring and then tracking a storm system with moisture to the south. This system is going to redevelop off the mid atlantic as many storms have and its going to be moving toward the northeast. This is the european model a little bit further to the east but you can see to the north and west of the city especially the possibility of snow. But we do have limiting factors. We have a very strong march sun angle. We have a lack of arctic air. No arctic air present it will be moving in during the afternoon so with ground temperatures above freezing and air temperatures above freezing its questionable if its going to stick at first were not going to be seeing a lot of snow snow.
