Authorities are trying to figure out what caused that person to lose control of the car and slam into the home in hoe says kin new castle county, delaware. Thats where Eyewitness News reporter matt rivers picks up this breaking story. Reporter the car went fast enough to when it hit this parked truck, it went airborne flying into the second story of this hokessin, delaware, home. Total shock. I mean this is not something you see every day. But, um, we at first thought perhaps a tree had fallen. Reporter that home belongs to linda, she was and side with one of her children when it happened bought both are okay. They were safely on the other side of the house when the mitts about she sedan burst through her wall. Apparently not an easy thing to do. A nice strong structure. This is not a modern construction. Reporter just up the street from lindas house you can it first went wrong. The car laid tracks it went off the road heading straight toward the home the resulting crash echoed across the quiet neighbor. John andersons wife heard it. She thought we had a thunderstorm when she heard the crash report roar the 27 year old driver was taken to the hospital and will likely be ok okay. Police havent said what caused the crash yet. But neighbors say people regularly ignore the speed limits. Its 35 miles an hour and theyre running through around 50, 55. Reporter whether speed played a role will be decided later. Sunday night lindas house had to be cut open the oil hole made wider to drag out the car inside but as bad as it looks linda says it could have been far worse. Lucky. Um, lucky, yes. Overwhelmed. There is a Structural Engineer inside the house right now trying to determine when and if it is safe for the family to go back inside. Police tell us Eyewitness News one person was thrown from the car and then became pinned underneath it. Res cures worked quick toll try the free the victim from the wreckage. No word on that person condition just yet. More breaking news tonight. A plain crash in the bahamas kills all nine people on board. The lear 36 executive jet left nassau and was trying to land at grand Bahama International airport. This happened about 5 00 p. M. Local time. Now the cause of the crash is still unknown. Authorities in Chester County they say a family dispute ended in gunfire late last nig night. Police arrived at a home on summit avenue in paoli and thats where they found a victim who said he was shot by a Family Member john richard barry. The officers eventually tracked down barry to house writ down the street. We spoke to one neighbor who was one of the first to call 911. That was the first time i heard the pow, pow, pow. Um, i saw a gentleman walking up the street in the process of this shooting incident and i thought that was kind of weird. So i got back on the phone and i called 911 again because i saw the gentleman stand on the porch and that freaked me out. As officers approached barry he turned the gun on himself. He and the victim were rushed to the paoli hospital in critical condition. A lot of Unanswered Questions after a homicide in the hunting park section of philadelphia. A woman was shot to death on the 1600 block of rowan street. Police dont have much to go on at this point but they do believe the victim was about 30 years old. So far no details on shoot or a motive in this case. And it was a horrific crime. It certainly shocked an entire community as well as folks around the country. Two boys fall victim abuse. One of those boys Scotty Mcmillan did not survive. But tonight we see an outpouring of support by complete strangers who felt they needed to something. Eyewitness News Reporter Steve Patterson has more. Reporter looking for a way to heal. Really has torn the community up. Reporter if you live in Chester County at the very least youve probably heard this story of scotty and ryan mcmillan. For some here its paralyzing. The whole story has been like heart wrenching the last couple of days. I think for the whole community. Reporter prosecutors say the boys were victims in a series of horrifying beatings and torture sessions at the hands of their own mother and her boyfriend. Three year old scotty died. Six year old ryan is now staying with an aunt. My husband and i have been thinking about we wish we could do something so when we heard about this, we jumped on the opportunity. Reporter opportunity came sunday in the form of a flatbed truck. I immediately start to tear up. We need to do something. Reporter organizers janice baker self described motorcycle mom witness infamous riders of Chester County got her boys off the road and in a Police Station parking lot collecting donations for ryan. They got together with me and helped post everything online and really just brought a lot of people here today. Reporter baker estimates theyve collected close to 2,000 in cash as for the flatbed its filled. Necessary are the will go to the family immediately. Toys will be held so ryan can have christmas. As community we love him and were so sorry of what he witnessed want he had to go through. Reporter it may be small against the grief ryan and his family now face, but donors saying janice is giving a chance at hope and for this community a way to heal. Its amazing. A Philadelphia Police officer is recovering tonight after his cruiser collides with a pickup truck and then bursts into flames. This was the fiery scene last night at 28th and tasker in south philly. An eyewitness had to pull the 17th diss track Police Officer from the police car just moments before it erupt flood flames. Now, investigators say there was only one person in the other vehicle. Today it was the sixth annual lemon run in Fairmount Park benefiting alexs lemonade stand. 2500 people turned out. Many have children battling cancer. Others run in the name of those they loved and lost. He just needed something to bring to life the importance of research and dollars for pediatrics cancer. We primarily fund research.
