Right now at 11 oclock, Health Officials confirm a fouryearold boy in new jersey died as a result of a deadly respiratory illness and now theyre investigating a possible second case at the same school. But first get ready for the autumn chill. Temperatures are taking a plunge. Were going to be waking up to lows we havent felt in months. Good evening everyone, im natasha brown. Thanks so much for joining us. Its going to be down right chilly for sunday morning activities. Want to warn you already, meteorologist Kate Fehlinger is in for justin joining us with this novemberlike forecast. Thats right, its going to be a brief dose of november, natasha, but heres where its coming from. Storm scan3 as we show you a look over the last few hours, an area of low pressure just passed us by. More than anything the frontal boundary that came through earlier this morning really helped to knock these temperatures back. Heres where we stand right now. Already flirting with 40s from treat ton down towards wilmington, youre in the 40s in reading, allentown and already flirting with 30s in mount pocono. So a dose of whats to come. Off to our north and west the darker the blue, the colder it is and in happy valley, for example, youve already hit the 30s. Meanwhile it could be a lot worse, guys. Freeze warnings and frost advisories extending from the appalachians back to minnesota so this really is a significant chill that has settled in but it could be a lot worse for us. We have a little too much wind in our area for any frost to form but across the northeast most parts of pennsylvania there are frost advisories that take effect later tonight. In the Delaware Valley temperatures are still a month ahead of schedule but we are going to see a quiet finish to our weekend here. Tonight the all clear is after an ebola scare at new york Liberty International airport. A passenger is rushed to the hospital. This photo shows crews as they boarded the plane to remove the passenger from liberia who was traveling with his daughter t eyewitnesses say the passenger was vomiting during the flight. In light of the recent ebola out break the cdc was notified immediately and passengers on the plane were quarantined. Health officials determined that the sick man was not suffering from ebola. Meantime the dallas hospital where ebola patient Thomas Duncan is being cared for says his condition has worsened to critical. He has the first case of ebola diagnosed on american soil. The head of the cdc says the nine people who had definite contact with the liberian man are so far not showing any symptoms. He says the agency has gotten more than a hundred inquiries of possible patients. All of the anyone who had definite contact we were able to reach, so we are confident that none of those with definite contact had any symptoms related to ebola. None of them had fever. Reporter the cdc says there are no other confirmed cases of ebola in the u. S. And theres new information tonight about a little boy in Mercer County who Health Officials say died as a result of enterovirus 68 and we have learned the cdc is also investigating another possible case in a second child who goes to that very same school. Reporter Hamilton Township mayor kelly yaede described the young victim where for the first time we learned how he died. The cause of death was enterovirus d68. Reporter eli died over week ago. Officials werent insured if the boy died as a result of the virus. That determination was made late friday by the Mercer County medical Examiners Office after receiving test results from the centers for disease control. Another student i was in the different class but got sick the same time eli d he has recovered. Officials say the schools are safe. The attendance at the school on friday was back up to a full attendance in that classroom. Reporter but for some parents there remains some worry. Its clean and everything but how do you know that your child isnt walking by somebody thats sick. What am i supposed to look for . Is it something mild . Something serious or everything. Reporter Health Officials stress this is a virus which means antibiotic drugs wont help. That means prevention is key, making sure you wash your hands, covering your mouth when you cough and avoiding contact with those who might be sick. And new tonight an upper merion township man is accused of attacking and holding a woman against her will inside his home. Police responded to the 300y hundred block of south warner road after receiving reports of gun shots. The woman was able to escape and identified the suspect as shane gallagher. He was arrested and charged with simple assault, unlawful restraint and other crimes. The parents of an american held by isis released a video message today pleading for his release. 26yearold peter kassig who changed his name to Abdul Rochman while in captivity was taken hostage the. Hes a former army ranger. He started an organization to help syrians training civilians and giving food clothing and medical aid to those in need. Reporter in the latest isis video a militant executed british aide worker alan henning. Officials say the beheading is retaliation for britain joining u. S. Airstrikes against isis. Investigators are working to figure out what caused a fire at the flight 93 memorial in somerset county, pennsylvania. This is new video showing the intensity of those flames. Two buildings of the memorials headquarters were destroyed. The memorial itself was not damaged. Several artifacts related to the crash were stored in those buildings including a flag that flew over the u. S. Capital on 9 11. Officials say the flag was destroyed but many other items were saved. The search is on for two suspects who police say robbed a woman at gun point inside a bensalem hotel. Surveillance cameras captured these images of the two men at the comfort inn on lincoln highway. Police say they knocked on the victims door wednesday night. She answered. And they forced their way in. Were told the suspects stole the victims cell phone, laptop computer and money as well. Robert rickrode is charged with driving under the influence tough heroine after a crash involving his truck and a Delaware State Police car. Investigators say he lost control going around a curve on beaver dam road in harbison sussex county. The truck crossed the center line, hit the police car head on. Rickrode and the Police Officers inside the car suffered injuries. Methodist churchs highest court will decide later this month whether a minister who officiated at his gay sons wedding can remain a pastor. The reverend frank shafer was defrock ted last year and then he instated in june. That decision was then appealed to the churchs highest court. First responders from all around the country, theyre remembering a Philadelphia Police officer killed in the line of duty. The parents of a missing university of virginia student are appealing for help finding their daughter. This weekend marks three weeks since Hannah Graham disappeared in charlottesville, virginia. Authorities are searching an eightmile radius around the downtown mall for any sign of the 18yearold. Today john and sue graham issued a videotaped statement thanking the search team. We would also like to thank the many, many people who have supported our family during this terrible ordeal through words, deeds, thoughts and prayers. A 32yearold charlottesville man Jesse Matthew has been charged with abductorring her. Harvard University Says a threat sent to hundreds of students and staff by email may have come from overseas. The email indicated someone would go to the campus today and target email recipients. University police say even though the investigation is not completed just yet, it appears the threat may not be credible. Three kayakers, they narrowly escape a frightening encounter with a great white shark. Take a look here at their kayak, whats left of it. Those are holes allegedly from a great white shark. The kayakers were fishing in waters off of Santa Barbara california when they came across the shark. They used a distress call and nearby fishermen came to the rescue. He is clean to the top. We get the kayak and we get him on our boat and two other of the guys that were with him hopped on our boat also and we towed them all three into the landing. The same fishermen then rescued three more kayakers in the same area about an hour later. A mans quest to reach bermuda in an inflatable bubble it ends when hes rescued by the u. S. Coast guard. He was found about 70 miles off the coast of Saint Augustine florida. The coast guard tried to get him to give up his quest on wednesday and he refused. Crews returned today when the man activated his locate indicator beaky beacon because of fatigue. Police in breckenridge colorado looking into reports of three shiny objects seen in the sky. Multiple people called in to report these sightings. Witnesses say the objects sometimes form triangles or Straight Lines on the horizon. Those temperatures are dropping quickly. And the sun has been down for a couple hours but were already down in the 50s, 40s some spots flirting with 30s up towards the mountainous terrain. We start things off with a live look at skycam3 in Atlantic City. Actually some of the casinos down there lit up in pink in support of Breast CancerAwareness Month as well. As we continue to see a nice clear sky out there. So, with that clear sky remember and the heat that we did manage to build up in the atmosphere today is going to go right back up to the atmosphere because the cloud cover would act as a blanket and we dont have any at this point. Stormstorm scan3 shows that very well. No storms in site. A nice clear sky as you continue to see the retreat of whats left of that frontal boundary and the rain that it brought us earlier in the day. Things have dramatically changed for us here now that weve startd to see that cooler air take over. And we are seeing the temperatures drop off as we mentioned. Just a couple of choice locations in the live Neighborhood Network and several of them are already into the 40s like havertown, like logan township, like west chester and the list goes on. Down across delaware youre not going to drop as easily here tonight. Some of you only drop off into the 50s but again this is certainly going to be a lot cooler than it has been in recent nights and in philadelphia, we are forecasting a low of 44 degrees. Very, very far cry from the record. Jude to go all way down to below freezing to hit that so were not going to get that close but it is the coolest that it has been since april 30th of 2014. So, we know the low in philly. Lets take a look at the rest of what youre going to wake up to here around the region. The further northwest you go the cooler it will be. Were talking 30s mount pocono very likely around allentown youll flirt with it, lancaster 38, 40s for Atlantic City as the list goes on here. The bottom line is it is just a little bit of a shock to the system. Weve dealt with this before. You know, we see these kinds of temperatures in philadelphia and the surround region in november all the time. Its just a little early obviously. Meanwhile weve got a race coming up here tomorrow morning. 47 degrees at the kickoff at 8 00 a. M. For the race for the cure for the central and south jersey race thats going on here out at six flags. Looks like some pretty good running weather but if youre a spectator you may want to think about a heavy sweatshirt and i highly suggest a sweatshirt in midnight green and silver if youre going to be tailgating for the eagles. At kickoff temperatures arent hitting 60 degrees. Great football weather. Got to be ready first time. Its a quick little chill and then we warm back up.
