Reporter Ryan Benjamin lived in pottstown but spent lost time right here on the streets of west chester with friends. The local da here in Chester County is furious and he has strong words for the person he believed dumped her body in the creek. Ryan benjamin was just 24 years old. Authorities found her body in a Shallow Creek on memorial day tied to a cinder block. Someone out there right now who knows exactly what he did. He tied a cinder block to young womans leg and dumped her into a pond. The 24yearold died before she was dumb in the water in east Coventry Township it took authorities a few days to make a positive identification. Its a shock that we would find her body tied to a cinder block in a pond. Reporter hogan stopped short of calling what happened a murder but says somebody knows something. Eyewitness news has learned the 24yearold pre k teacher spent time in west chester with friends. Those who live here say the details in this case are shocking. I think its awful. You know, were not used to that kind of, um, crime here. You know, i dont worry about safety so much. I teach 24yearolds. So i dont know, its terrible. For every pill that we get out of the home District Attorney seth william is expanding offices Prescription Drug drop off program that began in january. Theyve already collected more than 200 pounds of unwanted or unneeded Prescription Drugs. Now you can find the med return boxes in 13 Police Districts around the city. The locations allow anyone to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted Prescription Drugs no questions asked. We want people to get the medicines out of their home. So in my last budget that i presented in february, i called on the legislature to appropriate 34 over 34 million. Governor wolf says the money would help to fund 50 outer loop Treatment Centers across the state and serve 11,000 people year. Well state legislators are trying to tackle this crisis from a much broader perspective.
