This morning isis reportedly claimed responsibility for the deadly new years attack at an istanbul club. At least 39 people were killed and another 70 wounded early sunday morning. One of the wounded was an american but most are foreigners. Good morning, annemarie. That new years eve nightclub was jam packed with people. Now, nearly twothirds of the People Killed in the attack were foreigners who were in istanbul to ring in the new year. Jake raak of pennsylvania was shot once. The bullet ricocheted off his cell phone and struck his leg. Chris raak says his older brother will come home soon its really said with the rest of the world and whats going on with things. We just pray for their families. The family says raak played dead in hopes he would survive. Reporter as victims recover a manhunt as Police Search for the killer. Surveillance video shows people running for cover as bullets ricochet outside the club. Another camera records inside. I saw a blob and people falling down because of shooting. Club reina is a swanky nightclub. About 600 people were inside when the gunmen opened fire. The clubs manager said it had increased security after u. S. Intelligence warned of an attack less than two weeks ago. Outside next to Police Barricades red carnations are laid out to remember the victims. Terrorist groups have carried out devastating attacks in turkey over the past year including a double bombing at a soccer stadium just last month that killed 44 people. Annemarie . We dont know much more, annemarie, particularly because hes on the loose and the manhunt is still ongoing. Theres an investigation into which terror group he might be a part of that maybe had any hand in helping him carry out this attack and help him get away.
