K y c a here's a quick look the 1st look as a matter of fact here News 1490 we can weather sunny days mostly clear nights through midweek possible snow showers on Wednesday oh not all that bad high today down to 57 down to 27 tonight tomorrow about 57 degrees a little drier for this weekend breezing cool stormy conditions mid to late next week right now it is 27 degrees and downtown Prescott at the News 1491 with 3.5 f.m. . This is the crux of the boardroom with me us. Well. So much for the nice warm November weather we are officially in fall or rather fall that feels more like winter dang And here I have a new t. Shirt for visions of Atlantis coming in I was ready to show off to everyone oh by the way the sions of Atlantis awesome symphonic metal band from Austria go check them out and we even had our 1st snow fall of the season in Prescot and I know what you're all thinking oh no rust is going to go on about how much she hates. You know not today I mean what we got didn't even sticking in unless you're living in the higher elevations around town and if it ain't sticking to the ground I worry about it of course there are rotten weather has been problematic for the soccer teams and press going to Bradshaw mountain as it really what a couple of practice days for them so turning to my special guest co-host for today President boys basketball coach Travis Stedman coach I imagine this time of year you look out a coach reading coach campus I know and their players and say Man I feel bad for them being out there in the cold weather oh well time to go back into my nice warm gym for some basketball a good morning John Yeah there is no you know there's no excuse as to why I decide to be a basketball coach climate controlled that was maybe number 2 on my list so it's nice to be in a side especially when you're coaching a winter sport Oh yeah I've always said if I if I was in high school and I was an athlete in high school in price. Yeah I would either go into basketball or wrestling I don't think there's any way I'd go out and soccer who wants to play soccer well obviously there are a bunch of people who want to play soccer January as demonstrated in President Bradshaw but I wouldn't be one of them well I grew up in Montana and I've played enough outdoor sports because winter starts in September mid September in Montana and so when I play football you know. Rolling into November end of October it's 40 below and 65 mile an hour wind and yeah I don't miss that at all so like inside it's really good when it gets below 65 here so yeah well speaking of which Travis how all your badgers looking as you guys head into the 200-100-2020 season you know we're we're generating some framework we had our scrimmage a couple days ago against check the shadows and Sandra Day O'Connor and there were some good things there were some not so good things but the beauty of it is we got it all on film and we use it as a learning experience and against a couple really good basketball teams and so we're going to be able to we're going to be able to tune up some stuff as we head into the season and once again k.y. Ca will be live streaming press kit boys and girls basketball games this year and we plan on throwing in some Bradshaw mountain games on the schedule as well and Travis I think you were telling me a while ago that you got quite a bit of positive feedback on our live streams from last season a press kit basketball Yeah we got a ton of it actually we had we had a really good response to that like I said I had family that was watching we had players family that was watching I think we had some over seas I think but yeah it was really really good we really like it work cited that you're going to be in our gym again this year you know we're excited to I'm going to be in the gym to the nice warm gym thanks be going overseas I know last year when we did the 2nd press kit Bradshaw games recalled him the women's coach up before the game I was talking to him he said Yeah my daughter is over in Japan right now so she's going to be watching the live stream it's incredible the Internet it's an amazing thing and it's funny that we even had life before that you know it's the fact that you can sit in Japan and watch a game in were ever and Prescot wherever and see what's going on I don't know how many miles away 24 hours of flight time I think so it's pretty crazy I think one of the funniest things was when we were doing. A live stream of a you have a pie soccer game in the fall they were playing they were playing mace and it was half time so I got up and stretch my legs and I run into a 5th one of the fans from Mesa college and she said yeah I just want to tell you the goalkeeper for base his parents are watching from Portugal and they did and she also said Oh by the way his name is pronounced this and not of course of course what's this play but hey you know you know on the I'm I always love to make sure to get players' names right now that I think the coach was the one who told me yeah this is how you pronounce it and well the coach got it wrong so nothing I can do there no it's funny we. My assistant coach Roberts want us all the announcing for the press good boys football team and we have to write things down phonetically so that we make sure we get everybody's taken care of so it's it's quite a trick Yeah believe me I do the same kind of August too and you know while winter sports is gearing up we still have action going on for fall sports especially with Embry Riddle and what a day their teams had Friday what in the end to the season for the cross-country teams the men had their best finish in school history at the national meet placing 4th in Vancouver Washington with Grady curst placing 14th the wooden placed 17th with Cal Pak champ Arian Anderson up in ending up in 6th place and former press kit cross-country runner Chris Evans she came in 117th for the Lady Eagles so Congrats to Coach Chris spray and his runners also Congrats to the Embry Riddle sucker teams the Ben notched a 221 win over Dalton state in the opening round of the national tournament yesterday the program's 1st ever national tournament when Jacob Baker Chattaway came a they were the goal scorers then the little Whedon took advantage of their at large bed the top Mount Vernon as a ring for the one in the opening round of nationals one of those goals scored by none other than Cheadle Valley grad Lauren Foster and on her birthday no less so. Oh happy birthday Lauren both squads are in action today for the 2nd round with the women playing vanguard at 1 pm and the men facing Columbia College at 4 pm Also today the amber little volleyball team is home for the opening round of the national tournament they battle Menlo College at 5 pm So get out there and support the Lady Eagles as they look to get the win and head to sue city for the remainder of the national tournament and staying with our theme of Embry Riddle team is doing great last night the women's basketball team took on southern Oregon and overcame an 11 point deficit to win 7563 Travis you were an assistant for the Lady Eagles for a time I do believe that those young ladies who were there from the beginning of this program 4 years ago are now seniors it's incredible and you know there's no question as to why they're successful because that group of ladies that leadership athleticism just downright basketball player that's a really really really good core group of basketball players and those girls are amazing so I expect really great things from them this year and not only great athletes by a lot of them just great personalities really fun to be around to it's so true it was at that locker room that I mean those bus trips were were tremendous So it's no question whether successful Well we're going to talk more about Embry Riddle sports is volleyball coach Jill blazing will join us on the other side of the break later on we'll talk with Phil Reed who also celebrated a birthday yesterday not only about Prescott boy soccer but he's also the assistant for the Embry Riddle men and I'm sure he'll have some stuff to say about their win at the national tournament yesterday 541-1016 the number to call here on the Tri-City sports round up 541-1016 break time we'll be back after this short this is Carter John's point guard for the branch on the basketball team there is more ahead on the Tri-City sports ground here on the news 1490 am and one of the 3.5 f.m. . Folks welcome back to the Tri-City sports round up John rust and Travis Stedman head coach of the Prescott boys' basketball team my guest co-host in the studio with us today and well we're talking all the Embry Riddle national tournament action and all that national tournament action was outside of the press today are you in fact outside of the Arizona except for goalie ball they're home tonight in the Eagle gym at 5 pm to take on Menlo College in the opening round of the national tournament and on the phone with us right now hopefully some water awake is the head coach for the Embley little volleyball team that's Jill blazing coach Good morning again you for joining us. Ok which I go on cutting out at the exact moment that you're introducing him about. That's Ok I kind of thought for a 2nd it's like oh no she probably does do offer so I actually fell asleep waiting on my parents. Well that's not surprising at all you've told me that you're Patty one of the worst morning people who ever existed yet so thank you for like actually being somewhat awake and joining us here on the show today Coach Hey I got a lot of love for you right now Don And I guess that's the benefit of being an important celebrity in this town at least in employing celebrity in my own mind. So so college I get it's the big one to NY and this evening whatever you want to call it you guys versus Manilow it is the opening round of the national tournament 1st of all talk about how huge it is for you to have this national tournament game right there on your home court at Eagle gym. You know what a great opportunity for us being seated number 21 in the country you get to host and we have an x. Went to Saudi and we have wonderful port stuff we have fans who show up and it's just a great environment to play volleyball and and to the winner of the conference in our gym it's just the next not the next level for a soccer convert turn that really looking forward to it and when our goes on and moves or goes home so this is what the tournaments is all about the best time of the year very exciting and that's when our awfully got to be their very best and really earn what's next for them so I'm excited to see that shine tonight they coach travel Steadman here how are you I'm doing well hi Fred Ok You know you spent about 3 minutes giving John a ton of compliments I was hoping maybe you could spend about 3 minutes on me and and you know talk me up a little bit here. I've got a kid on my side we have you know I don't think we have enough actually let. Him live. You know this is kind of you know this is kind of old hat for you guys you do a tremendous job over there. Take me through a typical pre-game day for you guys during the during a national tournament when you guys do. Well we were hosting our players are going to school I mean they are in class they. Look like dress. Just kind of seeping out their porch they're trying to manage all of that and then we have practice last night we had a team dinner with they're getting memo to welcome them. Today we I love them because I'm nicer than John Ruff. The fans previous important and then we'll get together we'll have a pre-game meal this afternoon they'll get into the training room get some love from our athletic training there so they're feeling good and then we'll meet and we'll warm up and we'll play in this in our 33rd not of the season so if we don't have that written by now we're doing that wrong but it does have a different feeling in the air with it being a national tournament it's just a little more exciting it's kind of like Christmas Day for me not good it feels like so. Hard to beat this time here the girls are excited they're ready they're healthy so we just got to go play some all coach she had mentioned about the dinner that you guys had with Menlo the other night and going back to the Cal Pac tournament you had 4 teams in there including yourself you played on Thursday and then Friday I noticed on the schedule that you had taped the gym wall there was something called a Cal pack teams getting to get it was like a community service project So tell us a little bit about what you were the other teams did on that Friday as part of this community service in between the semifinals and the championship game yes of course the members of the n.a.i.a. One of our biggest things have Campion that character and really being well rounded student athletes yes please go to school we got to practice and compete but we also want them to be a members of their community and we want to reach out so for when then soccer teams and went into a lot of all teams that were here including our and our conference teams went over to stepping stone agency and some of us helped out in the 1st or some of those helped out kind of behind the scenes. Preparing stuff we had we had sweeping sidewalks yet athletes organizing racks getting new registers ready to go somewhere working in the administrative offices but just that combination of effort and work for the month of work for the agency and they're such an important piece of our community and helping. Women and children trying to reestablish themselves and their shelter and. It was really neat to see and just yesterday we were able to do another community outreach where we. Wrote some holiday cards for our veterans here at the v.a. In our local v.a. We're hoping to deliver those next week but just little things that we can do and get together you know remind us all that this is bigger than us. But it's is really just a vehicle to to get to get to school so please help pay for school but also we're part of a community who who embraces us and we embrace the more we can be a positive part of that organ only going to take up for it it's going to benefit all of you know it's funny we do a lot of that with our team too and it's when you're when you're able to do things like that and and put the team in the community and put them in situations that they might be a little uncomfortable it's good for team bonding too but you know it's also really good for just for community ties and your team it gives them a chance to see how the other half lives it kind of takes their mind off some of the everyday struggle a little bit let's send kind of focus on things that a little more important things that they're kind of you know good life lesson type stuff so it's awesome that you guys do that. Capitally it adds up perspective that we're really really lucky what we're hearing and where we're doing at and be read on. Special play and also helps our engineers were killed. There can't be that fair no so so coach on a look at ahead to tonight's game I think of a lot of our regular listeners who've heard our sports reports I'm sure they know some of the names like Audrey Baldwin Aaron Clarke Kaylee Robel in Joseph. Those are those you ladies who really racked up the stats on a great job for you I want to get into some of the other ones who may not have gotten as much of the spotlight as I think they deserve who've on nonetheless made some big contributions for you I think probably one of the biggest ones is Kat Young who's you know been overlooked in the Cal wars the last couple years but you know talk about you know one of the top Le Barrow's in the conference I think she's like 13 Diggs in the conference you also have Julia Jen stead who's really emerged as a as a force in the front row you know one of the top blockers in the in the conference and then I think Lauren Davidian Tara Gordon again may not get a lot of the spotlight but you throw them into well serving roles and they've both done well for you they are. Definitely and we've talked from the beginning of the season now we have 14 players on our team and all 14 players play an important role we can all play the same role but everybody is so vital in either preparing our team to play or actually stepping out on the floor and playing we have those players that you mentioned on the floor more for 6 or patients in the ones who play a different role either to come in to serve or 3 rotations the back row or they're wearing a different jersey and we call in the lead rope. Those players are just as important even though they maybe don't get their names in print is often but Young has been tremendous in leading our defense she's just gotten better and better and better serve receive she's got great instincts on defense still just lay out for balls and keep life in the rally Carey Gordon is just a fiery kid. She's really a sadder but to get on the floor we have our serve and play defense and she inserts that life and you'll hear jump about 3 feet in the air. And more and of it in as is really worked and earned a spot her junior year in the back row for us and she's done nothing but improve so just in those kids and Julie again that got this opportunity to to be our 2nd medal and she's just been a force blocking for us she's got great instincts timing and she is I think 3rd in our conference and blocks so she's. Definitely outed some. Force to our front row which we needed we were not and we still are not the strongest blocking team but we've definitely improved that part of our game this year and we needed you so all those kids you. They're they're part of the group. I love the crew and I wouldn't trade him for anyone Ok well tonight 5 pm at the Eagle gym Embry Riddle volleyball versus Menlo College the opening round of the n.a.i.a. National tournament certainly looking forward had over there and actually doing the play by play on the red a live stream there for you guys are definitely looking for this match Sela plays it we want to thank you for actually being nice enough to wake up early this morning and come on the show and even though you insulted me and said I'm not very nice we still appreciate having you on the show today Best of luck to you and the Eagles tonight Ok thanks Sammy appreciate all you do you for our press carrier for it thank you very much for that see over there good luck tonight Ok but blaze it head coach Embry Riddle volleyball team again 5 pm tonight riddle versus Menlo in the opening round of nationals time for a break but before we go to break it's time to see who shined over the past 7 days as we present the Tries to the sports round up 3 stars of the week so Chad this what do you get us started with the ladies Our number 3 star is Audrey Baldwin of the Embry Riddle volleyball team she recorded 34 assists in the late Eagles' 30 triumph over you seem or said in the Cal pack championship match last Saturday the number 2 star is Kaylee Robel and of the Embry Riddle volleyball team she had 13 kills and 11 digs in the lady Eagles' 30 victory over you seem or said in the cow pack championship match and our number one star of the week is press kit girls cross country team they won the state championship last Saturday Ok now for the guys on over 3 stars Gilbert a bar of the Embry Riddle basketball team he tallied 19 points in the Eagles' 79 to 73 lost out in state last Saturday the number 2 star is Dexter miles Jr of the Northern Arizona Suns he scored 22 points in the suns 122-2105 victory over the Rio Grande Valley. For this is so I am Magnum man the midfielder for the press kit Badger soccer team we're listening to the Tri-City sports around here on the news 1490 am and want to 3.5 f.m. . Welcome back to the Tri-City sports round up here in k.y. Ca the news 49 yeah I'm one of 3.5 f.m. And online a k y c a dot info before we talk to Coach Reid of Prescott boy soccer Travis we actually have a press kit Menlo College connection getting back to our riddle volleyballs match with Menlo tonight so tell us what is the connection that we have between Menlo College and Prescot high school well we have press kit grad Eric Fred Land who is a 611 post player for us a few years ago he got recruited by Menlo He's a local at Menlo and he had a nice run there he got some playing time towards the end and one of one of my favorite kids ever to ever to coach he was a Believe it or not John he was a 66 catcher coming in as a freshman and had barely played any basketball but had tremendous hands and actually really good footwork and he he he worked hard enough and found himself as a college basketball player and as you say instead of Menlo oaks or just Menlo some men blokes I got to remember that for tonight all right why folks go from up back from volleyball to basketball and now to soccer and Prescot boy soccer the state runners up last year well they're getting ready for their own new season that's coming up in a week or so and on the line with us right now we have Phil Reed had coach of the Prescott boys soccer team coach Good morning and thanks for joining us morning John thanks for having me l.o.l. I coach before we go go and Travis Get Ready 123 how. Thank you guys. Your log of hill saw again last year was an incredible season I think you surprised a lot of people in the state going as far as you did in the state tournament getting to the state runners up and I think what was a one nothing or a one nothing game there in the state championship match so this year I have to ask . Who's on the team because I think you graduated pretty much 15 guys from last year's team. Yeah we graduate a significant amount of players and that's correlates to want to want to read it will be back to ridiculous game but yet we graduated about 15 years knocking I carried a very big squad I care to squat about 2526 because I knew you were going to graduate so many players of your 10 probably 10 players 7 to 10 players who was making up the core of the squad names you recognize operate and now say you played significant minutes last year he's also often played football p.h.s. This year. You will remember I might be carjacked yet another hour player played you know in the state of final last year career Jones but their high number not in a sort of forward he played in the final. At that Martinez also played in the final so we have a good core to build on coming back but losing 15 it's significant . I feel how are you I'm doing good for you I'm doing really good 1st off I'd like to say it is a pleasure sharing a coach's office with you your tremendous coach and you know a p.h.s. Is very lucky to have you. I will say the you know as we roll into our season you know we have a lot of prep time and we honestly we have about a month and we have a scrimmage or 2 in between what do you guys typically do in that interim before you guys kickoff for your 1st game. Well 1st off we hope and pray you know you know we do that to you so. You know we don't have the I wish we had a month we can Ok have maybe and when I was a little I think I left in a couple of weeks but sprinkling there is holidays I killed your practice days are not that many when you have a scrimmage next week Tuesday then we have you know the do you Thanksgiving holiday and then you're not in a competition I'm December 3rd So really not much time when you factor in you know the holidays for practice days so what we do arm again it's just you know you just hit a triangle on hard lots of finances you know lots of technical technical work. You know lots of shadow play well because shut up play kind of you know ensuring we understand the system of play we're going to go go into. And then you know that that's that's kind of the core of our preparation going into our 1st game and one of the things that's going to be different for Prescot soccer this year is of course the new turf you have on Bill Shepherd field so talk about what it's been like getting your players used to playing on that surface compared to the old kind of pock marked and. Surface you've been playing on in years past. 1st up close to Mrs Townsend and the you know just the administration have p.h.s. To really get back going it's a big difference right we've been treading on that pitch you know all season Mahsud difference massive difference how the players are able to play get an even roll on the field with the ball you know there's no feeling of Ok I'm going to run into a divot when you're running there's no worry about it rends the pitch may be soft or you know it snows and it may be hard there's no thing like that but it's been it's been just tremendous and I think it's going to help us a lot this year you know Mark you there are other teams that it that we're playing against that already have a turf field and fields that are used to that kind of thing but all boys it's just been good for the season I tell you even that turf even makes me seem fast so it's which is quite an accomplishment. So as we head into the season here how are you guys how are you guys stacking up in the Grand Canyon region how are things looking for you guys. Well you know the great kind of reason I feel is pretty tough for you I think most of the teams they didn't really lose many seniors so I don't make if he's going to be you know I very tough team we beat him I think 3 to 2. Here flock staff is always a competitor always a contender. And 20 after year but I can just looking on what they're turning every turn the majority of their squad Coconino I get an amount in last year but he also is returning 15 seniors are going to need a good crop of players. Lee Williams and Mojave same thing so it's new and it's going to be a tough going cat and reason is here and out on the board a boat that say Ok. Yes we've got to find a lot here but we still have to go through each and every team treating each and every team of the final especially when we get into Nugent play so coach along with being I along with leading the press get boys soccer team you also have another hat you're also the assistant coach for the Embry Riddle men's soccer team and of course they had a great 221 win and there are opening round nachos today against Dalton state so just tell us about 1st you know the riddle winning the tell patching up in ship and then for the 1st time on the program history getting a win at the n.a.i.a. National tournament yesterday. Well you know it's I'll come back to it down and tell you this time to cool tear down and say it's all combustible preparation at the start of the season you know we have the school in mind of getting back to the national tournament I'm doing one thing and not just getting by but doing well and so everything came back to home prepared in practice from pre-season how we approached our games every single game of the season even going into you know the compact tournament the final Yes it was a tough game but again it's just a mindset preparation camaraderie of the guys going into the national tournament here they were primed for that when you know coming a little bit when I said it was good. You know kind of kind of heading back the other direction. With the new pitch that we have I'm just I'm just curious I probably should ask this earlier but my age got caught up with me here with the new picture 1st beautiful and nice as it is have you found it difficult to keep other people off while you're trying to practice has that been an issue for you at all I'm just curious. I wouldn't say it's been an issue but you know it's it's something new for the high school and a community so everybody wants to be a part of it and what we do is want it started and we share right we'll we understand other groups want to use it and so we we actually share you know you have community members wanted to run it on a truck and don't just want to be around it so. Yes we have a few people who are being there but we're understanding that it's new and they want to be you know just just be a part of it so we should with them. Getting back to Embry Riddle men's soccer and the success that they have had this season winning the Cal Pac getting the win in the national tournament opening round yesterday I know my experience just being around the team this year is just a team that seems loaded with personality a team that's having a good time and I think that's one of the interesting things when you look at high school sports and college sports guys in high school and I'm sure Travis going to tested this you know a lot of the guys that say you know Travis coaches on the boys' basketball team the president they probably know each other since elementary school they play together since middle school and y.m.c.a. And now at the high school where in college you're pretty much throwing a bunch of guys together from not only different parts of the country but also different parts of the world on the number Riddell you guys have players from Spain from Poland from Denmark on that team so talk about what it's like getting so many diverse personalities from so many diverse places throwing a ball all together and then forming him into a cohesive team. Well I mean you hit the nail on the head in terms of you know part of the strength is a diversity of talent I mean diversity you know up to the players themselves coming in. Again you know our head coach has done a great job you know in recruiting players have including processes most people think it's you know Ok well it's a shock process but not it it's pretty much a year ago talent identification process you know talking with the player you know getting a feel of the player the fit into the culture that it's being created at every riddle and and then the player coming in and so far you know I don't to say we've been lucky but in some cases yes but so far are the players that we've recruited and have fits in very well into the culture they've brought in so you know the system of what you know Andrew is on the boat school as well as you know the aesthetic department of program there and you know they have since Sept bought into it you know it just seems within a team and Doc kind of come but operate that kind of mindset of wanting to be. Working hard not only to not act athletic but in their academics after that it's a lot for us and yes we have a lot of players from you know across. Europe as well it's both America and I think that's maybe the thing that some some people may not realize that yeah you can look at all player in high school say got 1520 goals in a season was region player of the year was an all state player but that's not the only piece of the puzzle because if Yeah that guy had all those accolades on the field if he's kind of the Butt head well he may not fit into what he does not fit in the program the fact if you bring on then he might be the he might be kind of the disruptive influence there that basically brings down the whole team. Definitely I mean there are different things you look look at. And I have to write and you know one of the things that one of the actors we had that in for a number of years but what makes him a great he's a he's one of our captains what made him a great athlete is you know we're able to move him into different positions right so he came in as a freshman you know in one particular position and most high school students you think well and your tackle there you know you know maybe a leading scorer and me leaving meeting center follower and when you get college or college coach says Ok I want to play center but. You know when they go they don't know what to do they're not that counted that they appear targeted but they realize this and quickly realize oh this is not how it is you know need to have other things bringing him to begin with and so he had conducted actually near able to move them into various positions and he excelled at not made the team better so I think and that's one of our strengths is having those kind of players who have a high high level of on a standing up again tactically. Problem with technical lots of nukes that you don't fit with the chair and again they're just not that it's yeah all right so Phil Reed head coach for the present boys soccer team also assistant coach for the Emperor riddle men's soccer team want to thank you very much for joining us here on the Tri-City sports round up and Phil best of luck to you and the badger boys this season of course continued success to the n.b.a. Little men's soccer team as they were in rail 2 versus Colombia today. Yes Yes that's right and I have a good one coach and here. I thought of interesting little Phyllis talk about there Travis about you know bringing in players who can play multiple positions because kind of looking at baseball and Cody Bellenger who is envy this year the National League for the Dodgers you know he wasn't just strictly a 1st baseman I think Cody played about 5 different positions this year and still put up you know chill Mendis monstrous power stats so certainly I think that's a good lesson to learn for all for kids not just in baseball but in any sport it's like a you know well you don't need a special you don't have to be just in any field or just a 2nd baseman like try some other positions because you know who knows that might actually Excel if you want to get into professional baseball want to get in the majors that might accelerate your path there being able to play multiple positions well and the Cubs did that with Chris Bryant to a lot he played a lot outfield played 3rd base they had to play a little 1st base here and there but honestly I think it's more global than that I think that it really really says it's really telling that if you're going to specialize don't play baseball play basketball play soccer play football do all of that because at some point you're going to have to change at some point there's going to be somebody that's going to ask you to do something and you need to be comfortable being able to do that like soccer is tremendous when it comes to footwork so Soccer is a great thing for younger kids to play when they before they start playing basketball or baseball for that matter the the other thing too is you know when you're 15 or 16 you shouldn't say that I'm only a 2nd baseman like you should never say I'm only I'm only the front middle like because you're 17 so pretty soon you're going to end up in college if you're going to play if you're going to play in college and there's going be a bunch of other kids that are as good or better than you and if you want to find time on the field or find time on the court you've got to find a niche that's going to put you out there x. I think I remember. Kenzie Phelps a great volleyball player for Prescott I mean she was a tremendous. No I mean the woman had about I like a 5 megaton arm he gets picked up by Grand Canyon University goes down there and the coach says Yeah I'm going to take you a look Barrow and I remember talking to Casey about it at 1st she was really resistant to that and it turned out she became like the best liberal in the history of bring her city it's funny again as a 161718 year old you're you're pretty much you're stuck in your own little world at that point is going you're you are comparing yourself against kids of your level or slightly below and if you once you get out into that global area as far as sports are concerned you know you realize that there's a much bigger world out there and there are kids that that have been playing for much longer just have more athletic ability than you do and like I said if you're going to find yourself out there you've got to find your niche and find your spot Yeah all right well folks are just about ready to wrap up this show here by the way a little announcement.
