The scene is clear now but investigators the scene is clear now but investigators were on the scene of a deadly crash along the Las Vegas Strip they say a woman intentionally drove her car up on to the sidewalk in front of the Paris Las Vegas hotel. A 32 year old from arizona was killed in the crash. Nearly 40 others were injured. Police say the woman driver purposely drove up on the sidewalk around 630 last night in front of the paris hotel hitting a large crowd of people including children witnesses described the scene as chaotic as paramedics arrived to treat the wounded a tragedy on the blvd as folks try to wrap their heads around what happened. All i could see was people bouncing off the front of the vehicle she stopped it looked like a bunch of guys were trying to punch out the window and then she took off started mowing over more people. Weve learned the driver is in her 20s. Her car. , a 1996 oldsmobile with oregon plates. And to add even more shock to the story police say she had a 3 year old child in the car with her at the time of the crash. That woman was tracked down the scene and was taken into custody. Officers have not given any indication of what her behavior was like. They are testing her for drugs and alcohol. Were learning more about the Police Officer shot and injured in the line of duty police say officer Gregory Sedminik has been with the Metro Police Department for eighteen years. Metro officer and responded to a domestic disturbance call on thursday at emerald suites. Thats near las vegas boulevard and pebble. Police say officer sedminik was shot by a man not connected to the initial call. The officer was hit in the upper body. He was taken to umc. And expected to make a full recovery. The suspect is identified as 38 yearold teag fox. Police say he was picked up by a friend who says fox was the suspect in the officerinvolved shooting. It took around 6 hours to search for him.
