At about 545 pm tomorrow the streets will be closed off to cars new years eve. The monorail has five stations along the Las Vegas Strip from the mgm grand to the sls. Locals also get a very special discount on new years eve. Tickets for the monorail are just one dollar when you present your local id. The National Guard will be at mccarren airport until new years day. 40 nevada National Guard members will be at mccarren to give Law Enforcement more flexibility. Doctor Dale Carrison with University Medical center is talking about whether or not the amount of drugs found in lakeisha holloways blood could mean she was under the infulence. Dr. Dale carrison, umc it may mean something they may not mean anything. Its very difficult and there is no real medical consensus on when youre under the influence or not. In a statement from clark County District attorney steve wolfson. He writes the amount found in her blood does not change the charges hes filing against her. Carrison went on to say there is no concrete scale to determine the level of use or if drugs played a role in this deadly crash but there is one thing the toxicology report shows. Carrison we know that sometime within the last 12 marijuana she had a large amount of metabolites in her blood. Those metabolites are only there if you have acute use. Her metabolite level or the level at which the drug is processed by your body was about 24 nanograms per milileter. I spoke with a local toxicology expert.
