And well be dry here over the front range with temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, today, not really many clouds around, generally sunny and this evening when were kicking the game off, driving home, getting ready to watch it, temperatures will be in the 70s, to near 80 degrees. Going to be a really warm dry day around here. It is now 6 02. The daye season, the broncos will take the field tonight in the first regular season game, theyre going to give the Carolina Panthers another taste of the orange crush. Lets go on out, the game is in 12 hours, a little bit more than 12 hours away. But you know what, guys, i mean, didnt the panthers have enough of that orange crush . If youre headed to Civic Center Park, colfax, 14th broadway and bannock, theyre going to load up. But the 16th street mall shuttle is free, from downtown lots forwards everything thats happening, a great option and we want to hear about your traffic game plan, where youre headed, what time youre going, just use get there on time. Going to be clear around here during the morning this morning, and through basic will i the rest of the day. Were going to go up to sky 9 again, over 56th and pena boulevard where a fatal autopedestrian accident occurred early this morning in 56th avenue is closed down, pena boulevard remains open here. One person has died in this crash. And another pedestrian, that was also struck, has been taken to the hospital, were still waiting to hear how severe their injuries are. As for the intersection, its all blocked off, the investigators are on scene and piecing together how the crash took place. They used the word cars, plural, maybe two cars involved, possibly one. All of out. This is a dark intersection early in the morning, not a lot of clear sidewalks. Pena, all lanes are open. To the maps we want to talk alternate routes, 40th will get you east and westbound, underneath pena itself, as for pena, speeds are doing okay, but the southbound exit ramp is blocked to 56th, same goes for northbound traffic. And you could see some curiosity across pena. 225 seeing a cross across the southbound stretch, leetding up to yosemite, not visible here see delays at one point in time, two lanes blocked. So we could see some extended slowdown, 18 minutes southbound between 70 and i25.
