Reporter for the fifth time in less than a month, federal Authorities Say this woman has robbed five banks. Now they are asking for the publics help to catch her. She threatens, she tells them, i have a gun. Even though she has never shown it, that doesnt mean she is not going to and she is not going to use it. Reporter Deborah Sherman with the fbis Denver Division says their investigation shows the wicked wig bandit filed the same pattern every time she has robbed first she obviously wears a wig. That part you could have guessed but she also targets the same type of banks over and over again, focusing on locations either inside an albertsons or Safeway Grocery store. And the fbi says thats not the only unusual thing about her. She is a woman. Thats very rare to see a female bank robbery. In colorado i would say we see it maybe one to 2 of the time. Nationwide it might be 7 of the time. Reporter the bureau got reports of the bandit robbing lookalike. Sherman says thats troubling because it could mean the wicked wig bandit is inspiring copycats. The Sheriffs Office says no charges will be recommended against her son who was the owner of one of the dogs. Investigators told 9news shawl had the dogs on her property since they were puppies.
