Denver public works has plows on standby if the snow begins to cause problems on side streets and residential areas. Us from sixth and share damage. Roads dont look too bad sheridan. Road dont look too bad yet where you are. Reporter not at all. Denver has some of their main plows working the main roads but have not deployed residential plows because theres not enough snow on the ground to do. So the roads are a little slick but not ice or snow covered. Denvers residential snowplow program was actually created back in 2006 when blizzard like conditions caused a lot of problems in neighborhoods. Public works has their plows on standby again with the forecast calling for over 12 inches of snow. So far they have not been deployed. If it snows over a foot, the residential plows will go through neighborhoods plowing one strip down the middle to make those strips more drivable and eventually safer for residents. Were prepared and ready to go once the snow comes and well be ramping up our efforts as the snow ramps up and our heavy plows will be focusing on all of denvers main streets residential plows will make a single pass down every residential street in denver. Reporter again, those residential plows will only be deployed if it does snow more than 12 inches, but again public works and their big plows have done a great job on these streets. They look very clear. Of course, that can change later tonight and tomorrow when we expect those temperatures to drop into the teens and the winds to pick up. It can create some treacherous conditions for the commute tomorrow. I think a lot of people will be happy to know the side streets are being plowed because i remember the last snowstorm. I felt like i was off roading, so good to know. Reporter same thing in my neighborhood, but its always good to know there will be people taking care of it. Jessica oh, thank you.
